Where are Raleigh, Triangle area corn mazes, pumpkin patches, haunted trails? Our database has the answers

Posted September 4

Two-year-old Ethan finds the perfect size pumpkin at Smith's Nursery in Benson on Oct. 15, 2011.

Pumpkin patches, Halloween festivals, corn mazes and haunted trails. Our 2017 fall fun and Halloween database has all of that and more at various farms, parks, museums and other destinations across the Triangle and beyond.

Most will start opening over the next month and not all of the farms and venues have announced their plans for 2017. I'll be updating the list throughout the season with new events and just announced schedules.

One big change that I noticed as I updated the list over the weekend: Green Acres in Cary will not open for the 2017 season. According to the farm's website, the owners are moving.

"Due to the relocation, we won't have the corn maze (bounce houses, play area, horseback rides, etc ...) this fall. However, we will be selling pumpkins and Christmas trees," the website says. A new corn maze will open in 2018 at a different location about 15 minutes away from the original spot.
