    I was in full runaround mode today lol picked up a few last ,instead things and ran a bunch of errands. We ended up not making it to NY (maybe monday) so we are putting the girls to bed early tonight and DH and I are prepping everything tonight. I'm going to boil the sweet potatoes for my pie, the chicken is brining in the fridge right now since yesterday, and DH is making the corn bread and boiling the turkey necks for the dressing and the macaroni for the Mac and cheese. Tomorrow all we Lloyd have to do is pop it all in the oven and wait.

    Tonight's dinner was frozen beef ravioli and a jar of pasta sauce poured over it. Served with roll. Happy Thanksgiving yall!!!!

    Cheese enchiladas, rice and green salad for dinner. I worked today and did not doing any prep. My daughter is working at the movie theater from 10-5:00 tomorrow so we aren't eating our big meal until dinner. That gives me plenty of time to make pie, mashed potatoes, stuffing and ham.

    I'm sure I'll end up helping with some cooking at both family's houses over the next two days as well. And I may bake some late-night desserts for our house guests over the weekend.

    Tomorrow morning we are having the breakfast casserole.

    Friday morning I am making blueberry pancakes, sausage patties, and scrambled eggs.

    Saturday morning I am making Belgian waffles, bacon and scrambled eggs.

    And since I expect our company to eat everything, Sunday we will probably eat cereal all day ;-)

    EM2S - I love the description of your zuppa rustica! We've had that the past two nights, but your name for it sounds so much better! :)

    Meredith!! Lasagna AND breakfast casserole AND chicken pot pie? Oh please let me come to your house! Wow and yum!

    Lindabates, I love cookies for dinner ;) Safe travels tomorrow.

    I had intended to get up bright and early this morning, and do all kinds of TG prep -- pie crust for the lemon meringue, cooking the sweet potatoes, getting the veg for the stuffing prepped and sautéed. Instead, I overslept by WAY longer than I should have. So, either I'll be doing some of this late today/tonight, or all of it tomorrow. Good thing it's just the two of us for TG dinner!

    Dinner tonight: there's a pizza place way up on 40/42 that has really good pizza. Best I've had since NY. Last time I went, I bought one to have that night, and a second one (unsliced) for the freezer. Tonight is the freezer pizza. Fingers crossed it's good!

    Em2s - sounds like you have multi-day preparations going on. I totally agree on your leftovers comment! This morning, I put a small seasoned turkey breast in the slow cooker with a bag of baby carrots and a cup of chicken broth. The house smells divine. I'll cook it today and then we'll have "leftovers" on Friday since we are going to my aunt's tomorrow and there will not be any leftovers to take home.

    lindabates - have safe travels tomorrow and you are all in my thoughts.

    RaleighFoodBlogger - That makes it so much easier to have the Honey Baked Ham! Thanks for the heads up on the Applegate Chicken Cheddar sausage. I really like their products.

    I'm in full cooking mode only to be in transport mode tomorrow getting the food to 2 different family members houses... no clue what's for dinner might be cereal or just cookies and milk kinda night

    I went ahead and cooked most of the meals for our company this weekend last night. I made a 9x13 pan of homemade lasagna 9x13 pan of homemade chicken pot pie, and a 3qt dish of breakfast casserole.

    Our family isn't going to make it in time for dinner tonight so we will save the lasagna for later in the weekend. Tonight we will have a leftover pizza from a work meeting so it's free and easy :-) It also means when our family does arrive looking for a snack they will finish it off and it won't take up valuable fridge space over the holidays.

    I boiled 2 dozen eggs last night so I will be making a dozen deviled eggs tomorrow morning for my in-law's Thanksgiving dinner and then another dozen Friday morning for my family's Thanksgiving dinner.

    I'm not in full mode until tomorrow! Luckily everyone wanted a Honeybaked Ham Turkey, so one less thing to make. Tonight is various leftovers of the roasted sausage and veggies (btw, the Applegate Chicken Cheddar sausage that is on sale w/Q at HT is delicious!), pot roast, and caprese salad depending on what we're in the mood for :)

    Happy Thanksgiving Day Eve!! Definitely in full prep/cook mode today :) Yesterday was baking mode. Your Caesar salad sounds so good, Faye!

    Tonight, we'll have a version of zuppa rustica (the base is frozen Bird's Eye Protein Italian Blend packs from prior HT super double deals, diced fresh HT carrots (97c/2lbs everyday) , and home canned jars of chicken stock), olive batard (from freezer - a past Kroger deal) and table grapes ($1.50/lb at Walmart this week).

    Blessings to each of you!! ... and may you have just enough leftovers for your favorite 'day-afters' :)
