flower1791 - yes - thank you for your apples recipe! I bought a bag of apples from FL a couple days ago and I plan to make these this weekend. Yum!

meredith88 - that soup and bread combo sounds great!

raesmom1612 - love that corn chowder! You need some of Meredith's bread to go with it!

Meredith, I love the Pane di Casa bread. So good! I missed the last sale, so I'm really looking forward to the next one.

Tonight we are having loaded baked potato soup that I made on Sunday topped with cheese and sour cream. We will have grilled cheese sandwiches to go with it using some really delicious Pane di Casa bread from HT. I am loving this cool, rainy weather!

Flower1791, thanks for the recipe for your baked apples! They sound wonderful! They will definitely be on the menu this week. :)

My baked apples are really simple. I just core and peel the apples and then in a baking dish with the apples add some butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon bake 375 for about 30 minutes or until apples are soft.

    Yummy menus everyone!

Flower1971, how do you make your baked apples? I bought a bag of apples at the Farmers' Market last week to use in salad and dessert, but I don't feel like making pie.

I hear you about the freezer. My upright freezer is such a mess right now that I'm afraid to stand in front of it when I open the door for fear of an avalanche. Thankfully the door has a lock on it or I'd be in big trouble. I definitely need to go through it sooner than later.

Dinner tonight is beef stew (HT sale last week) and mashed potatoes. I was intending to make the stew in the crockpot -- first use of the season if I get it started in time.
