Yummmmmm everyone!! Now i am inclined to make something in my crock pot but I pulled out ground beef......maybe I'll Brown it real quick and throw it in the crock pot with chili ingredients. Our A.C. works overtime during the day so at night we always have to put on socks and longs pants to stay warm, so tonight maybe the chili will help keep us warm ;)

Rae would have LOVED your dinner last night jdouglas!!!!

Bbq chicken sandwiches will be in the menu later this week. Thanks for the reminder!

My week's plan went to heck :p Monday night had the spaghetti & meatballs I was craving...Mom made lemon meringue pie, so had a slice for dessert. Went out to dinner last night, so tonight will be grilled rib eye & sautéed yellow squash (I swear they are multiplying on their own on my table!). Tomorrow night will be the squash galette, as long as I can get to the grocery store..have been trying since Saturday, so hopefully will make it there tonight !

Still sorting through tonight.... But here is yesterday's since I didn't post.

I had a shrimp salad sandwich with arugula and radish salad, side of cherry tomatoes and bbq chips. My boys had tuna salad in place of my shrimp. It was a yummy meal actually!

Grapes of wrath are appropriate at times... ;)

The chicken with BBQ sauce sounds good. It may be the blog's summer baked ziti!

Ilivefancy, awesome birthday dinner at Longhorn!

Last night I had PB&J on semolina bread (can't believe I wasted good semolina bread on PB&J, but it was the only defrosted bread I had at the moment). DW had hot dogs. Clearly, I was not in a cooking mood! We went to HT for the last day of triples, and the heat really knocked me out. I thought I was going down a couple of times.

Tonight is going to be the now defrosted meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and asparagus I forgot I had.

It's crock pot night on the blog! lol

lindabates - that chicken recipe sounds great. Love the bacon and cheese addition at the end.

I just threw in some pork chops in the crockpot, with cream of mushroom, more fresh mushrooms (.99 at HT yesterday) and onions. Pork chops from a previous sale of half loin at Kroger ($1.88/lb) that I cut into chops.

    It's not a recipe but here's what I do:
Cook Chicken breast in crockpot with salt, pepper and garlic. You could add onions, mushrooms or peppers but my house is super picky so I don't.
Cook the chicken on low 6-8 hours. About 30 minutes before it's done I mix a packet of dry ranch into some sweet baby rays bbq sauce and pour it over the chicken, then I top it with shredded cheese of choice and last but not least add the chopped cooked bacon... let it hango out in the crockpot until the cheese melts and enjoy.

Change of plans last night. We had grilled chicken quesadillas with peppers and onions. Side salads and fresh grapes to go with them.

While the quesadillas were cooking I made a few more meals in the oven. So we have the breakfast casserole done as well as a pork loin that was on markdown at FL yesterday that I cooked with BBQ sauce. So tonight will either be the breakfast casserole with biscuits and gravy and fresh fruit on the side or we'll have the pork loin with mashed potatoes, a green veggie and salads. We'll see!
