Raesmom, I'll definitely save you some ziti if I make it! LOL

Faye, you don't know how tempting Chinese is tonight. I may succumb to the pressure. ;)

Stay cool and take it easy everyone! Dang, I wish we hadn't finished the ice cream last night!

Last night's dinner took me absolutely forever to make so I'm going easy tonight.

We're having vegetable beef soup (using leftover crock pot beef roast with potatoes and carrots -- no cooking just warming them up in the stock) celery, onions, frozen green beans, corn, and peas. And grilled cheese sandwiches done in my sandwich press.

Either left over spaghetti (need to make more noodles which involves boiling water OMG) or Hibachi. I made a bunch of chicken last night when we had chicken quesadillas so I'd only have to make the veggies and rice...back to the boiling water issue in this wretched heat. Hmm...seems the Asian theme is winning in the comments today.

Something while sitting in my daughter's section at the restaurant we both work at, after the softball double-header.

Last night I was too hot to eat dinner. The hubby had leftovers. Then we both had ice cream :-)

Tonight will be something out of the freezer, just not sure what. Might wait until after church though when it's cooler outside before we turn on the oven to cook!

ybaverage2003 - I totally agree! Enjoy your Thai. I went with Japanese and picked up sushi and 1/2 price cookies from Lowes Foods. :-)

    jdouglas13 - peer pressure - get the Chinese. ;-)

As much as I love my baked ziti and I have everything on hand for it.....I just cant bring myself to turn the oven on :( (save me some of yours if you make it jdouglas lol) so we are having either old faithful spaghetti or burgers on the grill (if DH makes them). We made it to HT in the rain last night and got the b2g3 free ice cream and had some choc. chip cookie dough last night. Also picked up neapolitan, red velvet, and tin roof sundae. I don't expect them to last too long lol. Stay cool everyone!!!

We're debating between baked ziti, breakfast for dinner - French toast and breakfast sausage, and pasta carbonara with asparagus.

We had to get up at o'dark thirty for a doctor's appointment and the lovely alarm never went off, so we were basically shot out of a cannon out the front door with only minimal caffeine, and The Princess wondering what in the world is going on Mama. Kinda throws you off for the whole day. Dinner may be takeout Chinese. ;)
