LindaBates - The crockpot inventor is my hero! ;) Your regular doctor follow up was a good thing. Very glad to hear your little one has no lingering issues! Always surprises me how quickly a little one bounces back full of exuberance :)

JDouglas - O-o-o, tomato lemon basil salad sounds delish! Adding that as a side to our gyros tonight. Grilling skewers of FL's ground beef mixed w/ diced red/purple onion (Aldi last wk) & minced oregano from herb garden. Tzatziki sauce (cucumber & onion specials last wk) chilling in fridge. Will put on Stonefire Na'an Pita (freebie w/ coupon @ HT starting today). Also, borrowed your cookie idea (saw when catching up on last week's posts :) ... baked walnut-oatmeal-raisin cookies (pantry items acquired w/ coupon deals). Thanks for the inspiration!!

Last night was stuffed cabbage leaves & traditional Greek salad w/ feta plus melon medley.

Meredith88 - JDouglas13 is right! ... and what a blessing to your family you are!!

Have bogo meal coupon at Ruby Tuesdays. It is good only today. So hubby is taking me out. Rest of family can come only if they pay their own. Otherwise they can fend for themselves.

JDouglas, thank you! I've discovered that cooking up new recipes is a great way for me to relieve some of the stress of moving :-) But with tonight's quick meal it's back to the reality of packing. I've only packed one box of kitchen stuff so far so I think that'll be the targeted room this evening which means we'll start a week of freezer eating ;-)

Everybody is talking about cooking up lots of chicken... I just got a 20 pound bag the other day at Walmart think I'll go home and grill some up and then next week when I'm off I plan to make up a bunch of freezer to crockpot meals for when I go back to work.

JDouglas13- miss priss is back to her wild and playful self...running around jumping and playing- thankfully nothing was wrong. I didn't think there was much wrong but wanted the doctor tordered check her out to be 100% sure.

Lindabates, how is your little one today?

Coupon4me, we eat so late that I am often posting a day behind. LOL

YBAverage, I think we're on the same page. I baked a big package of chicken drumsticks last night. We'll have them cold with ??? a couple of nights this week. Nice and easy. Tonight the side will be M&C and maybe a tomato lemon basil salad.

Meredith, you are moving in just days now, and your menus are still amazing and always sound so good!

Raesmom, I bet Rae enjoyed being able to bake back in her own kitchen! ;)

LAst night was left over pasta and meatballs with French vanilla cupcakes.....didn't have time to go to the grocery store to get ingredients to make from scratch so I used an old faithful box of betty crocker.....rae was entertained either way and added red frosting and red sprinkles to her cupcake :)

Tonight will be pork chops in the oven, mashed potatoes and veggies. The pork chops will either be Spanish style (with vinegar) or smothered with country or brown gravy and onions. Dessert is left over cupcakes.

Last night's shrimp tacos were delicious! Our grill quit working so I broiled the shrimp in the oven instead and added home made coleslaw and a pineapple strawberry jalapeno salsa. I wish I'd made enough for leftovers ;-)

Tonight we are having lasagna. I already cooked the dish this weekend when I was doing a bunch of other baking so it just needs to be reheated and we're set! I think I'll saute some green beans with parmesan to go on the side along with fresh grapes and cherries.

We did breakfast for dinner last night. Scrambled eggs, toast, turkey bacon, avacado and grapes. No idea on tonight. I am working a day behind everyone!
