Tonight I had planned on sushi to celebrate the youngest finishing up her freshman year in high school with great grades and the oldest getting her full unrestricted driver's license today! Yay for both of them! BUT, we all went to the DMV together and then got sushi and Froyo for lunch! Yay for me, too! lol

So for dinner we are having cajun shrimp on a big salad and french bread on the side.

    coupon4me - enjoy the free pizza....again. lol

jdouglas13 - those tomatoes do sound great.

Wow seriously everyone has such yummy things! Meatloaf is always a favorite at my house...hilarious when the 7 year old says 'ma can I have more meatloaf!' Reminds me of Wil Farrow in wedding crashes! Lol.
And Meredith that says delish and frugal of course! A jDouglas what a wonderful tomato tip!
Boring dinner for me tonight kids have a bday party so I guess I'll have pizza there which I already did for a work sponsored lunch....boo! But hey at least both were free :). Haha!

I meant to add that if you haven't tried the lemon pepper grinders from Trader Joe, they are so good. I use it almost everything!

Yum and yum Ascherer and Meredith!

Meredith, I have to try your loaded ramen noodles recipe. It sounds really good.

Dinner last night was burgers on the grill, the last bit of potato salad, grilled asparagus. I've been on a fresh tomato kick lately (the Campari tomatoes are really good and on sale at HT for $1.99 this week). I've been quartering them and adding fresh lemon zest, lemon juice, lemon pepper, garlic, and a tiny drizzle of EVOO. Let it sit for 20 minutes or so before serving so the lemon and salt draw out the juice from the tomatoes. So good!

I did not get the London broil out of the freezer in time to defrost and marinate, so tonight might be something pasta.

Tonight is loaded ramen noodles with chicken, shrimp, squash, zucchini, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and corn and then eggs added in at the end. Only takes 15 minutes to cook and is super yummy and filling!

Tonight is meatloaf with oven roasted red potatoes and squash. Last night was dinner at Anna's Pizza in Apex with family. I had anti-pasta on a salad while almost everyone else had pizza. Monday was sour cream and dill pork chops with baked sweet potatoes and steamed green beans.
