Nanee Lion - I am happy to share my experience. But if he is in constant terrible pain, he may want to go to the ER. If he has an infection, he needs to address it asap. I had 2 different attacks before they took mine out. 1 lasted about 24 hours and was just digestive. I did not know at the time that it was gallbladder related. 1 week later I had the second attack and it lasted 30 minutes with severe doubled over and unable to move chest pain. But it resolved and I was able to wait a week to have the surgery as long as I did not eat much (very limited fat and nothing spicy). If he wants the name of my surgeon for a 2nd opinion, just let me know. I definitely recommend him.

I think you have talked me into making soup tomorrow! Thanks for sharing your ingredients.

I made it with stew beef from HT (On sale of course) and cabbage, tomatoes I canned last summer, celery, onion, butter beans, corn, carrots, green beans. I always make a large pot to share and some to freeze and I always use my MIL's pot that I inherited when she passed. Took some to my neighbor and my daughter and sister in law are coming by tomorrow to get some.

Faye, I have a good friend who went to the doctor today and he thinks his gall bladder needs to come out. Any advice? He is in terrible pain.

    Your salad sounds tasty Faye!

I've gotten so used to separating our meats when we buy them into portions for three that I had three pieces of chicken breast to cook today. Since I knew I wasn't going to eat any and Rae wouldn't eat 3 pieces.....I grabbed one piece, cut it in half and shared it with Rae along side mashed potatoes and peas from earlier this week. Not sure what I'll make tomorrow....guess I'll have to see what I have in the cupboards.

Nanee Lion - That sounds great! What kind of soup did you make?

I ended up meeting my friend for dinner at NOFO in the 5 points area and had a delicious salad with grilled chicken and a fabulous balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

jdouglas - You are in our thoughts. I know how much our fur babies mean to us. I was awake all night because I couldn't find our cat and it was so cold outside. I finally got him inside this morning and thawed out. Now it is nap time for both of us.

coupon4me - have fun on your vacation!

ascherer - I love chef salad as well, especially with sunflower seeds or slivered almonds and dried cranberries.

Dinner tonight is up in the air. I may be having dinner with an old high school friend in town for work but not sure yet if the timing will work out. If not, we are having chicken and mushroom alfredo pasta with steamed carrots and orange slices on the side.

Jdouglas - Regarding your post last night, I am so sorry your dog needs surgery. :-( Keeping you all in my thoughts.

Tonight is pasta night. We are having "spaghetti" with meat sauce. It's actually Penne pasta because I just use whatever noodles we have on hand at the time. We're down to just a few boxes of penne and elbows from past HT SDs. The sauce was from a HT B2G3 sale a month or so ago and this is the last of our ground beef from splitting a cow with my siblings. We'll add peppers, onions, mushrooms, and carrots into the sauce to make it chunkier. We're having roasted asparagus on the side and the kids can have some leftover cheesecake for dessert.
