I picked up a loaf of Trader Joe's Cinnamon Roll Bread from TJ's on Monday and had a piece today for breakfast. It is the best cinnamon and raisin bread I think I have ever had. It's moist, flavorful and so delicious. I believe it was $1.99 a loaf and totally worth it! Highly recommend it if you like cinnamon bread. I bet it would make super French toast.

ascherer - that is hilarious! Glad everyone survived the adventure unharmed (other than the shirt...).

I enjoyed some chicken noodle soup for lunch and will be having scrambled egg whites and wheat toast for dinner. Yay for food! The rest of the gang is getting Japanese take-out thanks to my awesome dad. :-)

I found a nice ribeye steak sitting in my freezer that DH and I will share tonight, along with a loaded baked potato and some broccoli.

Ascherer, what a great visual of your DH and his bird adventure! :) My nephew, when he was little, was famous for leaving the patio door wide open. I was always terrified about what might come in. Thankfully, the rat that liked to live under their BBQ grill cover never made it inside!

I think we are having spaghetti with meat sauce tonight. I know I've been saying that for a couple of days now, but I finally got the chopped meat cooked at least, so I didn't have to toss it. Last night we had pancakes and breakfast sausage for dinner. I'm embarrassed to say what time that was, but at least I got it in before the 10 pm mark.

Well the Salisbury Steak didn't happen last night. Work popped back into the picture and said get it done now. So we ended up with spaghetti. Luckily I got 2 - 2 pounds packages of 80% hamburger marked down to $5 each at HT Monday evening (quick sale). I will try again for tonight.

Now for your laugh of the day. DH learned why we don't leave exterior doors wide open. A bird flew in last night and I had the pleasure of just watching & staying out of the way. DH was armed with a broom and a ceiling fan duster chasing the poor little bird through the house. An hour into this, the bird flew upstairs and settled into one of the bedrooms (but not before leaving DH a present on one of his clean shirts). DH shut the door and left the windows open. The bird finally left at some point. Please note there were no birds or DHs harmed during the production this entertainment but I almost feel out of my chair laughing. Of course our cat was outside at the time. =^-^=
