jdouglas13 - they do! There is veggie sushi and it's a great start.

Coupon4me - Well done on the Moe's coupon! That was really good thinking. And super frugal meal tonight!

Monday we ended up doing the beef stew from the crockpot . I sent an email to Moe's concerning the storm and I didn't want my coupon to expire so they re-issued it!

Last night kids had an outing so they did pizza.

Tonight is Barber foods Frozen Chicken cordon blue (of course almost free) with corn and green beans from the HT Libby's deal last week. Dinner cost probably $2 for the three of us tonight. ha!

Tonight looks like we're going to be having the chicken that finally defrosted, either as fried chicken or breaded chicken cutlets. Sides TBD, but I have some fresh brussel sprouts that need to get used, so I might roast them.

If there is such a thing as vegetarian sushi, I will have to give it a try one of these days. :)

meredith88 - Not all LF offer the sushi special. The LF in Clayton does not. Hopefully the one near you does. They make it fresh on-site like HT. Not all varieties are included but they have a good selection. Good luck.

Faye, that's good to know about sushi Wednesday. I'll have to see if the LF near us does that as well. Though I realized the other day that I have not been to LF in almost 2 years since they closed the one on Capital right by my house.

Sushi Wednesday! - Lowes Foods in the 40/42 area offers select sushi for $5 on Wednesdays so about once a month we splurge on sushi. And we only eat the cooked varieties. :-) Sides include clementines and strawberries and roasted veggies (sweet potatoes, mushrooms, onions and carrots)

meredith88 - the HT sushi is really good and the packages are really large so I can see making it 2 meals. Your chicken and waffles sounds great! I have never eaten them together but would definitely try it. Let us know what you think.

    ascherer - biscuits and gravy....yum!

Last night did not go at all as planned, which is what we were planning for ;-) Supper ended up being sushi from Harris Teeter that I grabbed while doing my grocery shopping at 10pm. Thankfully a pack of sushi is enough for two meals so it's supper tomorrow night too.

Tonight we are having chicken and waffles. We're using the other half of the organic boneless chicken thighs that were on clearance at FL and baking them with cheese and breadcrumbs. The waffles we'll make from scratch from ingredients we have on hand. We've both always wanted to try the chicken and waffle thing so we finally are making it ourselves.

Tonight is breakfast. I think it will be an omelet with bacon, cheese, tomato, onion, peppers, and more cheese. Side is sausage gravy over biscuits.
