DrD, yup, those were mine. :) I'm out of town visiting my Dad, but will be glad to post or send the recipe to you when I get back. They were a new recipe I tried out this year, and they are definitely going into the special recipes book.

Pepper - lol - yes I did hear about chicken, but we already had it last night, and sadly there were no leftovers. As it turned out, my sister got home really late, had already eaten out, and there wasn't anything much in the house to cook, so I made an attempt at the Dutch baby pancake I make with breakfast sausage baked into it. Dad is not an adventurous eater, and wasn't too crazy about it. He has lots for dessert though, so it's all good.

Hoping for baked ziti maybe tomorrow, and a veg would be nice. ;)

Leftover roasted pork (made into bbq pork sandwich), coleslaw. Husband had pork sandwich, leftover black eyed peas and leftover mashed potatoes.

When we have a whole chicken I just take the leftover meat at the end of the week and make chicken broth. Throw bone and all in crockpot, add seasonings, carrots, onion, celery and we end up with homemade pot of broth. Let it cook on low 12 hrs and then on warm and have it whenever we want. Sometimes I will make some stew with the broth and meat. sometimes a pot of soup w/veggies and sometimes I just can it for use at a later time.

ASCHERER, sent you an e-mail; thanks!

    Dr. D - My email is a.scherer@earthlink.net.

ASCHERER, I'm shy about posting my e-mail address online. If you don't have the same qualms, you could post yours and I could then send you mine by e-mail. Otherwise we might need Faye to be our middle-woman.

Dr. D - I brought the peppermint bark chocolate cookies. They taste a lot like thin mints but with a brownie texture. Give me your email and I ill email it to you.

JDouglas, did you bring those cranberry-orange pistachio cookies to the WRAL swap on Saturday? I need the recipe for those little yummies! I also need a recipe for the larger sized dark chocolate mint cookies, in case whoever brought those is reading this plea. ;-)

Depending on when my sister gets home from her outing today, dinner may be baked ziti with Italian sausage from this little Italian store up here that has wonderful meat and makes all their own sausage. Dad has requested chocolate chip cookies, so I'll be making them today or tomorrow. The cranberry-orange pistachio cookies and Mexican wedding cookies I brought up on Monday are already a distant memory. :)
