Had Barber Chicken Cordon Bleu. Pretty good for free! Had Uncle Ben's broccoli & cheese rice, and corn. The corn was the new microwaveabe kind in a pouch - I do not recommend it. It was tough. Still a quick, easy, cheap meal. Chicken is individually wrapped.

Meredith88 - Thanks for the butternut soup recipe :-)

Jdouglas13 - I was reading the posts from yesterday...just wanted you to know that you, DW, and your Dad will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

Tonight I made Twinredheads' crock pot tater tot casserole (added veggies) and it was really good...Thanks again :-) .....
Maybe next time I will leave out the veggies and add sweet onions, peppers and mushrooms...yum

Ascherer, so glad to hear Squirt kitty is back to his old self. :)

I was thinking spaghetti as well, but I think tonight might be M&C with broccoli. Tomorrow I might make a batch of spaghetti sauce for a pan of lasagna. It's been a while, and I have everything in the house to make it.

    Meredith-the squash sounds good!
    Ascherer-glad kitty is doing better!

The Littles have been asking to make mushrooms so I bought some on clearance and we will sautee them. Cooking some chicken breast seasoned with old bay (love it!), and will have it on whole wheat buns topped with the sauteed mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, and jalepenos with some leftover honey mustard made last week. I've got 3 sweet potatoes that need to be eaten so they are being made into chips sprinkled with some sea salt and old bay. Asian pear slices on the side.

Tonight we are having the last of the butternut squash soup that I cooked last winter from the freezer. We will also have grilled cheese sandwiches to go with it. Fresh fruit and veggies on the side.
Then this weekend I can cook another big batch of the soup and freeze it in bags to last through the winter.

I think I am going with the meat loaf option or spaghetti. Hopefully DH doesn't have to work too late tonight. He barely caught the end of the Cub's game last night because of work but he is a happy boy. His Cubs are in the Nation League Penitent race.

Thanks for all the thoughts on my sick Squirt kitty. He is fine now. I think he just had a fur ball to bring up, over ate to make himself throw up and that caused the other problems.

As for HT SD - I'm going to hit it on Thursday or Friday. No one is looking to buy what I'm going to buy. Plus, some really sweet Ladies are sending me coupons that will double nicely with my rain check. Also I have to dig through the last 4 weeks of coupons before I go.

Happy Day to all of you. It should be kind of warm and sunny today.
