Sauteed veggies

Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like. If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas.

RFB - one of my goals for the next 3 months is to up the number of videos on the FB page per the suggestion of my wral social media contact. :-) After that, maybe a YouTube channel is next! Thanks for the idea.

Faye- your soup looks yummy! I'm no longer on facebook, so I can't comment. But I enjoyed watching it. You should start a youtube channel.

I posted a video of the veggie soup from tonight on the Smart Shopper FB page. It's action packed and will keep you glued to your computer chairs..... not really.

But I'd love some comments on the post about what meals you like to make when the weather turns cold - as it is going to do tomorrow!

You can see the video here (even if you are not a FB member you can still view it):

ribs ( maybe on the grill since we currently have sunshine ). corn ( Kroger 3/$1 and 20% savingstar healthy food of the week , and asparagus ( Kroger ) .
Raesmom1612 - Can you use re-usable shopping bags for the laundry ??
If you made me a pot of your taco soup you could use my washer and dryer ( And I could spoil I mean play with RAE ! ) .

Tonight I am making some homemade veggie soup. It's about to get cold and I am still not eating anything very heavy. But - I am able to eat again, so that's great news! I'll serve it with pasta shells in it and some crusty bread on the side.

    Everyone's meals look great today!

Kathy S - I hope you are feeling better soon!

Raesmom - I feel for you on the washer dryer situation!

jdouglas that is my laugh for the morning!!!!! Too funny :) And yes I am going to look for new alternatives in schlepping my laundry around bc we have been using just white kitchen garbage bags (normally just 2 at a time) and by the time I get it back in the bag the bag is all torn up!! I don't think I can wait for a new home to get a new washer/dryer set.....

Garnertoy, I haven't had nearly enough coffee yet, and I read your dessert as "cabbage pecan pie". I was like noooooooooo! No cabbage in the pecan pie!! hahahahaha

Rae'smom, I feel so bad for you with your laundry situation. :( FWIW, big black garbage bags are a little easier to handle than a laundry basket, and the clothes stay dry if it's raining. Start with clean ones for your clean clothes to bring them home from the laundrymat, and then reuse them for your dirty clothes. Sometimes I used to keep a "clean set" and a "dirty set", but I was always afraid I'd get them mixed up.

Dinner?? DW's choice, TBD. Hopefully apple crisp for dessert.

Doing a bone broth fast for the next few days to try and get over this cold. I keep getting sick over and over again so trying to see if I need to heal my gut and boost my immune system.

Family will have leftover pork roast, black eye peas and spinach dd made in crockpot yesterday and some potatoes and salad.
