Nakabi - my mother-in-law passed away suddenly on Friday. Thanks for asking. :-)

Thanks RFB, Jdouglas, and Teecee. The meals are usually pretty simple to make. I love cooking and having the kids help. Yesterday D (my oldest who is 5) made the BEST beef stew and cornbread! He did all the chopping and mixing himself and I was very proud of him. Tonight F will be helping me with the chicken and D is doing dessert.
I must have missed the sad news about Faye...was it a family member who passed away? I am so sorry Faye!
Raesmom- just keep asking Rae and she will come around. She will miss it eventually; she loves baking with you!!!! yay for potty training! J (turned 2 end of Nov) finished up his in Sept and whew!!! lol. just E to potty train but at 8 months shes a little young. ill start her in 4 months. last baby to potty train; yay!! lol
RFB-the baked sweet potato salad sounds amazing!!! YUM!

Verde chicken enchiladas using the leftover rotisserie chicken from last night. Served with rice and green salad.

Positive thoughts going out to everyone having a difficult week.

Raesmom, hope you enjoyed your special last night! ;) We had a roasted chicken from the freezer, stuffing and gravy, and green beans. Tonight will be chicken noodle soup made with the leftover chicken.

Nakabi, every time I read one of your menus, I am in awe. They always sound so good!

Good thoughts going out to everyone. It's been a rough week.

Faye - Thinking of you and your family. The first couple weeks are the hardest. So much to do. So many Thank You notes to send. Don't worry about cooking for awhile. Or get your girls to cook dinner. Your DH is going to need you. I could not have made it through everything without my better half.

Tonight is a pot roast. I think we are having salad, potatoes, and a veggie on the side.

Faye - Thinking of you and your family during this difficult time !

Raesmom1612 The cookie wreath kit sounds like fun !

Tonight - spiral sliced ham ( reduced last week ) , some sort of potato ( thinking something with cheese) and green peas ( on sale and had coupon Monday ). maybe warm cobbler topped with whipped cream or ice cream ( strawberries on sale several places, got blueberries earlier this week )
