Tonight we had London broil cooked in the slow cooker all day with lots of seasoning and some Italian dressing and lots of mushrooms. I had planned to make stroganoff but everyone voted for beef sandwiches instead so we had pulled beef sandwiches on yummy yeast rolls, Parmesan zucchini and yellow squash and fresh peaches. Dessert is sugar free Breyers ice cream that was FREE today at Harris Teeter! :-)

RFB - your dairy free ice cream looks fabulous!!

    Raesmom - feel better soon!

jamien1 - your tofu and veggie sound great!

Jdouglas - so sorry to hear J is still struggling. I hope you find something tasty to eat tonight. I though of you and your 8-ton chunk of Parmesan today when I was sprinkling my HT brand Parm on the veggies. LOL

Nakabi - you have your own bee hive???

Raesmom, so sorry you came home with a cold! :( How about some of your 9 can soup? It might help fill up your nephew, too, although probably only as an appetizer. OTH, pasta always makes everything better ;)

Last night for dinner we had burgers (inside because the storm started just as we were about to light the grill), potato salad with minced chives and parsley from the garden and a whole bunch of chopped green stuffed olives so DW could eat it, and tomato basil salad with EVOO and lemon juice.

I'm struggling for tonight. DW is still having dental problems. There is enough potato salad left for her with maybe a hot dog (she loves those things - blech). I'll wing it again for me.

Using up some haricot vert from Trader Joe's with tofu that's been marinating in Bragg's amino acids with left over onions, carrots, garlic and green peppers from the fridge before they go bad! Probably make some rice to serve with this dish.

Raesmom- lol! Well, I haven't had chicken in almost a month... crazy! Hate that you came home sick... that's no fun :-(

Raesmom- I'm so sorry you're feeling bad :-( Maybe some chicken noodle soup too!

And we're having some tostadas per my class (we dehydrated the most amazing crispy tortilla-like base for it last night!) topped with lots of veggies, avocado and a raw tomato sauce. And for dessert? My Raw Coconut Peach Ice Cream! I can't believe how delicious it came out... and shocked there is no dairy. Here's a photo... not the most beautiful scoops, but delicious, still! Can't believe on Friday, we're 1/2 through this course! http://instagram.com/p/rpOmDvGkFY/?modal=true

Oh Nakabi I can certainly use some of that honey right about now........wouldnt you know I went up to Buffalo and came back with a cold!!!

Since I am not feeling too well they will either be having left overs or going out. I dont have taste buds right now so just hot tea with lemon and honey for me.

At the request of my 4 year old, we are having pinto beans (great way to use up some tomatoes and scallions from the garden), rice, and turkey sausage. If I can remember to stop by the store on my way home, I'll pick up some corn meal to make cornbread using some of the delicious honey Mr. Nichols and his dad robbed from the bees a few weeks ago :)
