DW is cooking hot dogs on the grill. We found some at Lowes that are from Applegate farm and have no nitrates, so we're hoping they are noticeably better than Nathan's which I our usual go-to.

Cantaloupe for dessert which was BOGO yesterday at HT. I had hoped to let it sit for a couple of days, but when we were unloading the car, the sucker rolled right off the back seat, hit the ground hard, and split in half.

Nakabi, please tell me how you dry your parsley. I usually wash, dry, and then freeze it I a bunch.

Faye, your enchiladas sound good. I really do have to try the one of these days. Love easy dinners on night #2.

BLTs tonight. I took advantage of the bacon deal at HT. I already had a pack in the freezer, now I have 5 more.

So far so good this week... I've made a 2 week menu and tonight (day 3) is my Potato and Broccoli Chimichurri Salad using potatoes and cilantro from FL and the rest from TJ. DH will have it with some of the pork tenderloin that I roasted up yesterday from a past HT sale (I froze it).

I actually haven't made it yet, but I have three different recipes that I want to try. One has instant coffee in it, so not too sure about that one but willing to try!

WFR-how do you make your brown gravy recipe?

WFR-I don't really have a recipe for the seasoning, but what Tarheelswin posted is basically what I use, plus I add a little Season All and I double the chilli powder. I usually use dried red chillis for the red pepper flakes since we like spices hot. I use parsley from the garden that I dry, as well as fresh oregano (also dried.)

Wildfrenchrose, I've used the following recipe from to make homemade taco seasoning (if you Google "homemade taco seasoning," this recipe will probably be one of the first few results):
    1 tablespoon chili powder
    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
    1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin 1 teaspoon sea salt 1 teaspoon black pepper

I made a big batch of chicken and cheese enchiladas last night so we are having them again tonight because they were so yummy! I had planned to freeze the extras but they were mighty tasty so I want them again tonight. lol I put the rice in the enchiladas with the chicken and cheese so the only side is a side salad. Easy easy dinner tonight!
