    raesmom1612 - OH NO!! I can't believe you still don't have air! Fingers crossed that your hubby saves the day and can fix it himself. I would be eating sandwiches and cold sides every night.

    The London broil was delicious cooked in the slow cooker on a bed of sliced onions and 2 baking potatoes cut into big pieces. Haven't had meat and potatoes in a long time and it was a nice change.

    running out of ideas on things to cook that dont require the oven so......HELP!! LOL AC still isnt fixed, hubs wants to do it himself so he is working on it now. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it is done by 430 tonight before he has to leave for work!!

    Looks like either a microwave dinner or another night out for Rae and I.......

    I forgot to add this -- I am crazy for yellow wax beans and they should be in season now. I went to the State Farmers Market in the hope that they'd have some, but no go.

    Has anyone seen them anywhere at any of the farm stands or other farmers markets? Thanks! :)

    Careless, your dinner sounds delicious! I love all veggie dinners.

    Nakabi, I have to say, I'm with your husband. You couldn't pay me to eat yogurt (well maybe $100 or more). I'm impressed you were able to fool him!

    Last night was supposed to be the macaroni-tuna salad, but it didn't get as hot as I thought, so we ended up grilling a pork tenderloin which I sliced really thin and added to some homemade BBQ sauce, fresh green beans, and rice. Tonight will be the mac-tuna salad.

    Tonight is Meatless Wednesday (I know it doesn't flow). We will have grilled squash and zuchini, sweet corn, stewed okra and tomatoes over rice.

    Nakabi - that is hilarious that you switched out the sour cream and he has not noticed! And your dinner sounds fabulous!

    Nakabi- that's funny on the eggs... I remember you weren't a deviled eggs fan (although these are just plain hard boiled). And cute on the yogurt story- funny how we get things in our minds, and they stay with us!

    Tonight it's shrimp & avacado lettuce wraps, mashed sweet potatoes, and steamed asparagus. I made banana pudding last night for the kids so they will have that for dessert and I'll enjoy some plain Greek yoghurt topped with some berries and honey.
    My husband loves sour creme (yuck!) and I'm constantly telling him how fattening it is and that he can use my plain Greek yoghurt instead and won't know the difference. He insists that he does. So last week I put the yoghurt into the sour creme container. Yes, I'm sneaky like that. The outcome? He has yet to realize that he's eating yoghurt on top of his taco salad :)

    Tonight we are having London Broil (that was planned for last night) with sides of red potatoes and salad. We ended up having the leftover pasta from Monday night mixed in with a bag of Garlic Shrimp Voila last night with additional broccoli thrown into the pan with a side of watermelon.
