    Hi all - you're welcome! It's not very spicy but that's completely subjective :)

    I would recommend leaving out the pepper flakes completely, then adding them while you are cooking whatever you are making, to taste.

    Observant- I'm sorry you're not doing so well. And I agree on going natural! I was on a pretty bland diet through this, but it didn't eliminate any food groups and it was very balanced. Organic foods have seemed to make a huge difference in my case. Good luck with it all.

    Faye- that steak sounds delicious! I'm going to try that marinade in the future!!!

    The sirloin steak was so delicious tonight! I marinated it in some Ken's herb and garlic marinade and a bunch of McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning for about 30 minutes before cooking. I ended up cooking it in a covered skillet with just a little spray butter and it was so moist and tasty. Definitely a keeper and wishing I would have bought more from HT while on sale. Very tender meat.

    Re-setting is sometimes a good thing .
    I recently saw a nutritionist for a refresher about multple needs/concerns .
    I was shocked at her extreme recommendations - she practically insisted on a diet with only 0 to 1 carb serving per day - I do not see how that is possible or safe . I had been lax about watching my carbs at times but I am not that extreme !!
    She also said NO milk ( I am allergic to soy so no soy substitute - oth milks have carbs too)
    I have one ( 8 oz ) serving of lowfat maybe 3 days a week ! At my age bone loss is critical and I prefer to try natural methods first before a pill or injections .

    Observant- thanks for asking! Actually I've known what I've been allergic to, as I was allergy tested years ago... but this was more of a trying to reset everything. I think it helped!!! And awesome on the dehydrator... sounds delicious!

    We are doing meatloaf (hamburger on Manager's Special at Kroger), cheesy garlic mashed potatoes (cheese on sale at Kroger), and steamed broccoli.

    Mon Account - that taco seasoning sounds yummy. I am going to try it.

    I got my dehydrator this morning !
    I have 5 racks of strawberries in it right now - house smells so good

    I use that taco seasoning recipe ( or one very similar) - and we love it !
    It is very good for those on salt-restricted diets - very low sodium.

    Mon Account- thanks for posting that... I keep meaning to try making it from scratch! How spicy is it? I typically buy the mild packet, as I'm kind of a spice wimp. Should I half the red pepper flakes? Also, fun on making the tortillas. One of these days I'm going to buy a press.
