Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like. If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas.

Raesmom - I knwo what you mean about leftovers. I try to remember to let the family know if I don't want them to eat the leftovers because I plan on using them for dinner the next night, but when I don't remember - they are gone!

UNCW Ash - I think spaghetti and salad will be on our menu for tomorrow night. Thanks for the idea. :-)

I have been slack about a weekly meal plan for the last 2 weeks but I'll be back on board next week.....probably. :-) The end of the year is always so hectic with the many evening school functions/concerts/banquets/etc. (2 this week) and it really puts a kink in cooking.

Spaghetti and salad b/c we haven't had that in a while. Using meat on sale at HT a while back (defrosting now!), free or close to free pasta, can tomatoes, etc. bought on sale.

Change of plans for last nights dinner. It was supposed to be left over bbq from monday, but rae and hubby had it for lunch, so we had chili last night. Tonight I am hoping there is left over chili (so I dont have to cook) but if not it may be baked pork chops with bicuits, veggies and some sort of potatoes.

Tonight will be chicken and pasta primavera, with tossed salad on the side.

    That couscous sounds yummy!

Tonight we are having egg and cheese sandwiches, grilled zucchini and onions and pasta with a light cream sauce on the side.

I found some lamb chops on markdown at HT today for $4!! :-) So, I'm doing parmesan crusted lamb chops in my grill pan and herbed Israeli couscous.
