Sad news - the kiwi was still not ripe enough to use so we had shrimp tacos without it the kiwi apple relish. :-( Will try it soon though. On a positive note, everyone (other than my No Seafood daughter) liked the shrimp tacos (with lots of Old Bay, of course!).

wildfrenchrose - I really do need to make some cornbread muffins soon!

jdouglas13 - your dogs and my dog would get along very well. lol

Chili that I cooked over the weekend & froze. Made with marked down stew beef from feezer that needed to be used. Cut very small. Prefer ground beef, but oh well! Leftover cornbread muffins thai I froze as well. Today I cooked a whole chicen in crockpot not quite done, picked it apart and pit in fridge. Tommorow it will go back in cp with onions & Famous Dave's bbq sauce bought thru isle50 a while back, and will go into freezer in individual portions fpr future consution.

The naughty twins aren't too fond of the snow either. One refuses to step foot off the front porch, the other decided to do everything at the foot of the steps. They don't know how good they have it and are lucky we don't live in Boston any more! Please, everyone, in this weather there should be no outside dogs.

Dinner tonight looks like pasta carbonara. I finally got the pizza dough into the bread machine today, so after an overnight rest in the fridge, we'll be having sausage pizza tomorrow.

After a few (too many) runs down the sledding hill in our backyard, I needed warmth (and traction) and the veggie soup hit the spot! Guess it will be lunch AND dinner! LOL

Faye- What a cute name! And I'm with Taz :-) Much rather stay in a warm cozy house!

Looks like it is soup night for almost everyone! My veggie soup is cooking now and smells soooooo good!

RFB - Taz did not want to spend one extra second in the snow today. He was back in as soon as possible. I think the cold really effects his arthritis.

We ended up doing Chicken Parmigiana last night instead of Chicken with Blackberry Sauce. So I think I'll use some of the HT sale ground turkey in the freezer and make Lemony Cilantro Turkey Burgers with the Blackberry Sauce and a big salad.

Nakabi- you have me inspired... think I'll make a big batch of soup up for lunch (hoping DH gets to stay home today, too!!)

Faye- our Boxer, Ocean is an inside dog too (and highly spoiled, I might add!) But he has had fun playing in (and eating) the snow on a walk this morning :-)

ascherer - good reminder on the pets! Our old doggie is a house dog and hates stepping foot outside these days. LOL Thanks for sharing your yummy meal plan!

Tonight we are having the big vat of snow day soup I did not get a chance to make on Tuesday and roasted shrimp tacos with kiwi/apple relish.

Last night we had tacos with all the fixings (hamburger Manager Mark down FL, cheese on sale @ Kroger). Wed. is going to be a venison ham (free from a friend) slow cooked in the crock pot with onions and some soup (I think). No clue what the sides will be but I have veggies frozen in the freezer (sale @ Kroger) and the everything for mashed potatoes or biscuits or noodles in the pantry.

Raesmom - I am glad to hear Rae is feeling better but sorry to hear DH now has it. I agree with Faye. You need a hazmat suit. You are the Momma and don't have time to get sick. I do hope the cupcakes were good.

Everyone be safe and warm. Please don't forget about your outdoor pets.
