Nakabi, I didn't save the paper but I did find the recipe on the N&O website. It was in today's Living section and the article was Chefs Share tips for healthy, flavorful dishes. Hope that helps.

PS - Nakabi, lasagna should be ready in half an hour. Would you bring your lemon bars instead of salad? Yum! Glad to hear your rosemary is still doing well. :)

Meredith, that's a great way to use your baguette half, and you may find everyone likes it better that way!

I wanted to make garlic bread one night and only had a small piece of a baguette. I sliced it really thin, made a concoction of butter/garlic/parm and Italian seasonings, spread it on and baked them (on foil of course so there was no clean up needed) until they were like crostini. Eveyone I've made them for asks for them whenever I mention garlic bread. Delicious!

Tonight I am making it up as I go :) I am making black bean burgers. Because we have no buns and so have half a french baguette I'm going to turn them into little appetizer burgers. A thin slice of baguette topped the 1/8th patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese. I tend to love anything in appetizer form so I hope it turns out well. I'll roast some broccoli and cauliflower on the side as well as some fresh apples and pineapples from Aldi last week.

Readingtou-would you mind eailing me the kale salad recipe? I'm in TN so I can't get the N&O. my email is nakabinichols@gmail.com
jdouglas-I agree about the dough! I usually make a few batches and freeze for later use. I had run out and didn't realize until too late yesterday. What time should I be there for lasagna? I'll bring the salad:)
Faye-your salmon burgers sound good! I like to put a little rosemary in my salmon burgers..mmm My rosemary bush is doing well downstairs in the basement under the warming lamp...hoping it makes it until spring!

Nakabi, I think any type of bread or pizza dough always tastes better the second day. Many homemade rustic breads doughs call for adding in a biga or poolish, which is essentially a piece of slightly aged dough added for flavor. My fave pizza dough recipe needs at least 24 hours in the fridge, if not more.

Dinner, hopefully, will be lasagna tonight. Made the sauce yesterday and I have several boxes of no cook lasagna noodles (soak briefly in water so they don't soak up all of your sauce), Sargento cheese coupon + sale recently, and Sorrento ricotta that was also a coupon & sale.

Tonight we are having Salmon burgers (Trident salmon burgers were bogo a while ago), steamed broccoli spears and wild rice.

Everyone's meals sounds great tonight! Thanks for sharing them.

There is a recipe for a kale salad with Chile lime vinaigrette in today's N&O. It's from James castellow of zest cafe and home art in north Raleigh.

We're making Chicken Caesar Salad Kale Wraps... I roasted the BOGO split breasts from HT today (I realize it's not the greatest price, but that is a heck of a lot of chicken for just $5 in a pinch :-) Caesar dressing and kale (we still have a lot left!) on sale from Earth Fare, wraps on sale at HT, and leftover parmesan cheese.

Wildfrenchrose- that sounds delicious! Love homey crockpot dishes!
