Grats on the cooker !!Please let us know how it does .
I was just thinking of asking about a pressure cooker today !
I used to have one years ago but always had trouble getting it to "pressure" ( I do love my canner ) .
BTW QVC & HSN sell the cookers and post recipes on the website &/or facebook .

jdouglas- Thanks! The only other thing I add is leeks along with the onions when I'm caramelizing them before adding in the broth. Parm sounds great! Also, sometimes I add juice of 1/2 of a lime to the pot... a very interesting layer of flavor to any chicken noodle-like soup (inspired by pho!) Hope you enjoy the chops, too.

I'm waiting to hear all about your new pressure cooker, too, tfpace. I've never had an electric one, but when I had the stove top kind, I used to love it for pot roast and stews. I had a really hard time recently deciding between purchasing a slow cooker and a pressure cooker.

Tonight we are having a strata-type casserole. Bread, cheese, eggs, served with bacon and roasted tomatoes on top. I'll be having an arugula salad from the garden, not sure about DW!

RFB your soup sounds amazing. Does anything else go into it? I keep thinking shaved parm on top? And thanks for the tip re butter for the pork chops. I rarely make them because I can never get them to be tender either.

WFR, FWIW, FL has Fritos BOGO this week.

We're doing Chicken Meatball Asparagus Soup tonight using past markdown ground chicken, chicken broth, onions on sale at HT and asparagus cheap at Kroger with a salad on the side.

Also, in trying to eat more low carb meals, I made some pork chops up for lunch today using butter that was on sale as well as pork chops (Target). I found this recipe for Herbed Butter Pork Chops and it is SO GOOD- and simple. I added a bit of dried basil plus sprinkled on some Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning (love that stuff)for a bit of heat. I can't believe how the butter kept the pork chops so tender (something even I have a hard time with :-) http://briesbites.com/herbed-butter-pork-chops/#comment-1779

tfpace- I can't wait to hear how you like it, too. I've been wanting one for years! I just found out Emeril has a new cookbook that has pressure cooker recipes in it... there might be some recipe previews on Amazon! :-)

Well... I don't know what I am going to cook, but I just bought an electric pressure cooker and I want to use it... does anyone have any ideas? Anyone have any experience with an electric pressure cooker?
