We had a mismatch dinner for everyone last night. Kids are at grandparents- eggs and toast and DH came home and had the same. I had put a pork loin in the crockpot for BBQ sliders so I had some of that meat with steamed broccoli.
Tonight we will have grilled stew meat that was marinated in garlic, olive oil, red wine vinagar, Oregano and salt and pepper. Sides will be sliced peppers and onions and French fries.

Faye, congratulations to your daughter. Wow, a high school graduate and soon to be college student. Time goes by so fast doesn't it? And you look terrific.

JDouglas your white baked ziti casserole sounds out of this world. Lindabates do you have a recipe that you can share for tonight's dinner menu? It sounds great.

Congrats to the birthday girl and soon to be graduate!

Chemo week again for DW, and I hurt my back last week trying to open a $#&%&
$#!*& window, so dinners here this week are super simple. I made a white baked ziti casserole last night which was very yummy and gave us leftovers for at least a couple of nights. Cooked ziti mixed with ricotta, mozzarella, garlic, broccoli, and sautéed diced ham. Thin the ricotta with some milk to make it a bit saucy, throw the whole mixture in a casserole dish, top with parmesan, and bake until it's hot and a little browned on top.

    Happy Tuesday everyone!

Faye - Since your b-day was just a week or two before mine, now I know we are the same age. Plus, I just had my eyes checked and my prescription for glasses is the same one I have had for the last 10 years.

ascherer - you are too kind....and in need of an eye appointment! lol The big 5-0 is the next b-day on my calendar so I actually took my time before I started having babies.

lindabates - that sounds like a very tasty casserole!

Faye - I still can't believe you are old enough to have a High School graduate. You look too young for that. Congratulations to your Daughter. Enjoy celebrating tonight.

BarbieDoll - Make sure you are drinking plenty of water but good for you for getting it done before it gets hot. In the 90's on Wednesday?!?! Is Mother Nature off her meds again?

Tonight I am surprising the gang with my daughter's favorite takeout Chinese to celebrate her last final and last day of high school today. I really cannot believe she graduates on Friday!

ascherer - happy birthday to your niece!

barbiedoll1967 - I wondered how the gyros tasted. Enjoy! And good thinking to get the yard work done early this week before the really hot temps later this week.
