ASCHERER- My Dad is 87 and has needed some help since he broke his hip on Friday the 13th, December, 2013. He's on lock down on Friday the 13th's now (not really, but I'm usually extra protective on those days). We have Home Instead come help out. Their minimum is 3 hours a day. They will come however many days you need. It is covered by long term care insurance. They cook, clean, assist with personal care, remind them to take medication, will take to appointments, etc.

Lots of great dinner ideas here tonight! Still not sure what we're doing for dinner here yet. Maybe sandwiches? At least we have cake for dessert. :)

Faye - Thank you for asking. Momma is doing well. This morning her Doctor released her and said she is allowed to drive if she feels up to it. She is 6 weeks into the 12 to 16 weeks they say it will take. There is nothing left to do but wait for the bones to heal and keep helping her get stronger. Tomorrow is OT's last visit but PT will continue for a few more weeks. I am coming home tomorrow but only for a few days. Momma needs some time on her own to figure out that she can't do it all but she has to figure that out for herself. I'm not really leaving her alone. She has family and a ton of friends here that she can call on if she needs someone.

Grilled pork chops with steamed broccoli if the weather holds off. Sauteed steak and rice with the broccoli if not.
