Yum-m-m!! All this Italian cuisine makes me want to fetch my fork and put a big napkin under my chin . Coupon4Me – no arm twisting needed here either :) JDouglas13 - White baked ziti! Yes, please!! RaleighFoodBlogger - How good your home is going to smell!! Taking a similar approach to this week's menu.
From Saturday's corn on the cob: poblano corn chowder topped with diced tomatoes & black beans, the last of oven-baked veggie chips, a quick pantry concoction Nutella-toasted coconut-chocolate Krispie treats & mint choc coffee.

Ascherer and EM2S, thank you so much for your kindness and thoughtful words. I so appreciate them.

Ascherer, pasta is such a great way to sneak in some veggies. I do it often! LOL

RFB, your lasagna sounds good and easy. I would not have thought slow cooker for lasagna, but it's kind of brilliant. :)

All this talk of pasta has me thinking along the same lines. Maybe a white baked ziti with spinach??

JDouglas13 - What a lovely tribute a Christmas birthday cake makes to your beloved Mother! With your talented baker's touch, it is sure to be the highlight -- even following a meal of rare splurges. May your home and hearts be completely enfolded in the love and joy of all who've gone ahead.

LindaBates - May the longing you feel this Christmas - and through all the 'firsts' without your dear Grandfather - be entwined with the love and joy you shared.

Lifting all who are missing loved ones. My heart is heavy with yours and loving thoughts sent to you. May knowing that others care be a comfort to you ... and may special memories warm your heart, especially through the holidays. Blessings to each of you!!

Dinner tonight is spaghetti. I may try to sneak some extra veggies in it.

LindaBates and JDoublas - My heart goes out to you. The first Holiday celebration after losing a special loved one is hard. There will be some tears but hopefully there will be some special memories and smiles. Let yourselves enjoy the memories and smiles.
