Faye- we're loving those mozzarella balls too! Today I made some pizzas for my folks for lunch using the past naan bread on sale from HT, some pizza sauce and cut up cheese- delicious!

Tonight was leftover Chicken Quinoa Chili. So glad everyone loves it, plus it makes enough for 2 nights then enough to freeze for the future. Especially good with my Mom's cake-like cornbread from some past Bisquick booklet from the 80's, I'm sure!

    EM25- all sounds delicious!

Meredith88- we've been thinking of chocolate chip cookies as well! Stocked up on pantry stuff like flour, sugar, chocolate chips etc. with some of the HT sales this week :)

Tonight we are having creamy chicken enchiladas. My hubby will have rice and corn to go with his and I'll have a side salad and fresh grapes. We also have last-minute visitors coming this evening after dinner so we'll bake some chocolate chip cookies for them to enjoy :-)

Tonight we are having Soup & Sandwiches: Grilled cheese on rye, tomato soup and Caprese salad (using B1G2F mozzarella balls from HT through 11/15)

The portabella and ricotta ravioli last night was delicious! If I see it in Aldi again I will definitely get more.

Em2s - you had me at pumpkin chocolate chip pancakes! Wow! That is so going on my menu for the weekend. And welcome back. I hope your family is ok.

jdouglas13 - I hear ya - on my second Coke Zero cup of the day....

Red beans and kielbasa over rice with green salad or asparagus on the side.

Welcome back, EM2S! :) Your menus are always so creative.

YBAverage -- I love meals that provide good leftovers. Enjoy.

Still working on coffee here. More later.

YBeaverage - Your chili sounds awesome on a damp cold night! The flavors tend to be even more delicious on the next day's reheating, so leftovers are always welcome :)

Sunny Tuesday wishes to you all! Getting back in town late yesterday, I was grateful for freezer and pantry items on-hand. Made a simple version of Mulligatawny, cornbread wedges, baked sweet potatoes sprinkled with cinnamon-brown sugar and orange wedges accompanied by a hot beverage bar. I'm dashing for groceries this morning attempting to catch the current specials before the new grocery cycle. Your lists of deals with corresponding coupons and rebates is so very helpful, Faye. The Just The Basics list that you thoughtfully pulled together gives me a dash and go list ensuring I make good use of time & money. Thank you!! Tonight, considering a breakfast type meal using some of HT Meal Deal with prior HT coupon deals: pumpkin-chocolate chip pancakes (Aldi canned pumpkin), sausage balls, broccoli-ricotta-hashbrown potato casserole, Dole Chili Lime Mango mixed with diced galas, celery, golden raisins and roasted pecans. I'll be back for meal inspirations from fellow SmartShoppers

Made a nice pot of chili last night with a last minute purchase of ground turkey ($2.69 for a pound at LF!). Will be eating leftovers tonight :)
