Faye- thanks for asking! Got about 50% done, and then have been taking a break as today was my 2nd day of work (which I LOVE!) Back at it this weekend :)

Jdouglas- love having shredded chicken on hand. I bought the FM split chicken breasts on sale and baked them today with a honey orange sauce. We'll have tons of chicken left for salads/pizzas, etc.

YBaverage -- pecan pie!! That even beats out M&C! :)

Yesterday I poached 4 huge bone-in chicken breasts that are BOGO through today at HT. For $8, a couple of carrots, celery, an onion, and some garlic, I have a big mixing bowl full of shredded chicken ready to go into whatever recipes, and about 4 quarts of homemade chicken broth. It's such a great deal, I'm tempted to get a few more before the sale ends today.

I think dinner tonight is going to be chicken and dumplings (biscuit-style) made with the chicken and broth from yesterday. Super easy since most of the work was done yesterday.

Faye, the painting went pretty well. We only got 2 of the 3 bedrooms painted this weekend so we are hoping to paint the third tonight after work. We love the new colors!!! However my prediction about sore arms was spot one... when we made waffles Sunday night we had to use the mixer for everything because neither of us could stir the whisk long enough. The bedroom tonight is the last room in the house we are painting so we get a break :-)

Last night we ended up going out to eat with family. They treated us to Vietnamese which was tasty.

Tonight we want to eat quickly so we have enough time to paint two coats in the bedroom so dinner will be leftover waffles from Sunday. I'm betting we will use them to make PB&J sandwiches and have it with chips.

We are having the Teriyaki freezer to plate meal with chicken. It's funny someone mentioned it yesterday but I had already planned on making that....great minds!
