RaleighFoodBlogger - congrats on your move! I hope you love your new place (especially the kitchen, of course).

jdouglas13 - oh my - homemade napoleons?? YUM!!

I totally forgot to make the dill sauce with dinner tonight. Next time.

STASAN1- your dill sauce sounds delicious... I adore dill!

Tonight we're doing Crockpot Quinoa Chili. An old standby, but so healthy, and it makes enough for 3 dinners, plus 3 more to freeze. And by the looks of everyone else's meals... it's a crockpot day!!! We're exhausted on our end, moved all weekend (not far) and needed a simple meal :)

JDouglas- Hi! Your veggie saute sounds so good. I could live on that all summer too! And Napoleons! Sounds so amazing and reminds me of my trips to Solvang when we got them as special treats from the bakeries there.

Faye, your brisket with French onion soup is delicious. :)

Stasan, your dill sauce sounds delicious even though I am not a fan of salmon. The closest I come to salmon is smoked lox blended into cream cheese. If you'd like to sell some of your excess green beans, I'd love to buy them, seriously!

Last night we had a veggie saute including yellow squash, zucchini, cremini mushrooms, scallions, garlic, and grape tomatoes. I also made some pasta carbonara. I told DW to mix some of the veg into the pasta and just try it. She did, and she liked it! This woman has never touched any squash with a stick! I was thrilled becauses I can live all summer on veggie sautes like that.

Dinner tonight might be something on the grill like burgers, but dessert is going to be the star: homemade napoleons!

stasan1 - I love your creamy dill sauce recipe! I am going to use it tonight with my salmon burger. Thank you!

ybaverage2003 - I really like a slow cooker brisket. Are you making it a BBQ brisket? I often add a can of Progresso French Onion soup when I cook brisket in the slow cooker and it makes a great gravy.

Southwest chicken in the Crockpot. Served on salad for me and over rice for the rest of the family.

Slow cooking a nice beef brisket, roasted potatoes and a green veg :)

Faye we are having Salmon too. Salmon Patties, rice pilaf and green beans fresh from the garden (they are just going crazy and we are picking oodles daily so need good green bean recipes!). I make a creamy dill sauce to put on the salmon patties as well.
    1/3 cup mayonnaise
    1/3 cup sour cream
    1 tbsp minced fresh dill
    1 tsp lemon juice
    1/4 tsp garlic powder
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
