Tonight is a turkey sandwich for me and DH is on his own (he has a meeting). I froze some of the turkey and ham to make it easier and safe to travel home with it.

RFB, your steak salad sounds delicious. One of my faves. Well, the roast defrosted in record time on the counter (maybe because I turned the heat on?) and made it into the slow cooker. I don't think it is going to be as yummy without mushrooms, but I didn't feel like going to the store again today. Hopefully DW will forgive me for serving it with noodles rather than mashed potatoes.

I bought a nice sirloin on sale at HT so we'll do black and blue salads tonight.

jdouglas13 - that roast photo was from a few months ago and it was a top round or London broil (can't remember) cooked in the slow cooker on a bunch of onions with french onion soup and tons of mushrooms. I coat the roast with McCormick steak seasonings, garlic powder and pepper. Cook on low for 8 hours. Mystery dinner sounds fun! lol

Faye, the picture yesterday of the beef roast looked wonderful. How did you make that? I have a roast defrosting as I type because it looked so good. I don't think it will be defrosted enough to have tonight, so dinner at the moment is still a mystery.
