Observant - that is what I am making tonight with GF biscuits. Made chicken/beef stock yesterday. (had chicken/beef noodle soup for dinner yesterday.) Taking some of that stock and adding veggies, leftover rotisserie chicken and gf biscuits to the stock. Call it what you like, I call it a yummy dinner. :)

    PEPPER2 - Yes !
We affectionately call it local ( Eastern North Carolina ) chicken and dumplings
My grandmother made biscuit dumplings cooked in the stock from cooking a whole chicken ( one of my favorite meals - )

I grew up further down south, and chicken & dumplings was corn meal based balls and chicken & pastry was flour based strips. However, when I moved up here, I noticed that people called the flour based one chicken & dumplings and no one had ever heard of the cornmeal based one.

Observant - I was imagining the same thing on the chicken pastry.....
    I call that Chicken and Dumplin's :)

Tonight we are having grilled cheese and turkey sandwiches on wheat bread, baked sweet potatoes and grapes (.99/lb at Food Lion through today!)

trichardson0621 - thanks for your chicken pastry recipe! I have had it more like a chicken pot pie with the chicken and cream sauce in a pie crust. Yum!

bjmholmes3 - great deal on the pork tenderloin!
