ascherer - oh no! I hope the pain goes away soon. So sorry your mouth is sore. That's no fun.

Tonight, DH gets whatever he can find in the house. I'm having scrambled eggs with cheese because the numbness is wearing off and it is kind of sore. I love going to the Dentist. Not!

Thrift- thank you! And your red pepper hummus sounds delicious, too!

Faye- Hope you give it a try, such a frugal and easy recipe! And yum on the cantaloupe and quesadillas. I have a cantaloupe coming in my CSA box on Saturday. Interested to see if it tastes any different fresh from the farm :-)

Jdouglas- lol! We don't spend much on general entertainment/eating out, but we do love our books/cookbooks. My most recent favorite is The Complete Mediterranean Diet by Dr. Ozner. So far, I LOVE it! I'll update you as I continue more through the recipes, but, wow, what a difference in energy levels (and looser pants) so far :-)

RFB, recipes of course, but I have a whole board of just cookbooks that I really, really need! LOL

DR D- I hope you enjoy! She also has a really great blog- Garden Betty. It's a good resource now that I'm finally getting a CSA box!

RFB, I printed that recipe too -- sounds wonderful. Better yet, I found a whole new genre of cookbooks -- CSA inspired -- and went on a little pinning spree! I guess that's better than a spending spree ;)

Dinner tonight. The bbq pulled pork never ended up happening yesterday, so today for sure (I hope).

Last night was toad in the hole/Yorkshire pudding with sausage/dutch baby pancake that I have been making lately in my beloved cast iron frying pan. I really have to say, if anyone doesn't have one, it is so well worth the time getting one and getting it well seasoned. It is by far my favorite pan to use for everything. The cleaning tip -- no soap ever. Rinse it out well, then scrub it with kosher salt just moistened with water or veg oil and a paper towel. Rinse again, dry thoroughly, and give a light rub with a bit more oil.
