Faye- I did see that, and have been following it since the winner was announced. CRAZY stuff! Seems as though 8 people have now gone to the police, and I'm just completely shocked at how someone could be such a sore loser. I found no foul play with how the rules were written. Grrr... it actually makes me mad that some people will do anything to cause drama when things don't go in their favor.

On the other hand... I'm actually VERY glad I didn't win. After reading more, I also learned the Inn was in horrible shape, would need a ton of work (MAJOR MONEY), and was in a really remote location. Looks like she also tried to sell it over the last few years and couldn't even sell it for I think 500,000 (can't remember the exact amount). But at least it got me dreaming again :-)

RFB - did you see this story about the win an inn contest you entered?: what will become of it. Looks like she probably made over $500,000 with entry fees.

    Nanee Lion- Happy Birthday!!!

Jdouglas- the whole chickens are $4.50/lb. Sounds like a lot, but there are no antibiotics, etc. Plus no filler to increase weight (up to 12% liquid at grocery stores). Also, it was so fresh and not slimy, and delicious. The homemade broth also helped offset the cost because I'd have spent about $4 on a box if I would have bought it at the store.

It was from Walk Ahead Farms in Youngsville, NC. I like the Cary FM as well as Wake Forest, but they might go to others as well.

RFB, my FM meant farmers market, not Fresh Market. I realized what I had typed after I hit the go button, of course! ;) I'm such a lazy typist.

RFB, your menu sounds wonderful! What FM do you go to/like? Sounds like you get some really nice goodies there. Do you mind me asking how much per pound the chicken was you bought there? For a really good chicken, I am willing to splurge a bit every once in a while.

Nanee Lion - happy birthday! Enjoy! :)

Garnertoy, you said the magic word when you said biscuits with orange marmalade. I LOVE orange marmalade. Yummmmmmm!

CDavis, if I were smart, we'd have something like your chicken Caesar salad tonight. Sound good on such a hot day.

No clue what we're having tonight. Hopefully, something that doesn't upset my stomach too much because I have a 7 am flight tomorrow for my Mom's memorial service. Those of you who know me KNOW I don't do 7 am anything. LOL. DW will be staying home with our guard dog, Ferocious Warrior Princess of all things naughty.

Hosting two USA baseball players for the Tournament of Stars and tonight is the team dinner at one of the host family's homes. They are grilling chicken and everyone else is bringing sides. and drinks. Making a Couscous and Black Bean Salad using corn, peppers beans, green onions and of course, the couscous. Wanted to take something different from green or potato salad.

Nanee Lion - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!! I hope you have a wonderful birthday week and year!

RFB - I hope the duck eggs work for you regarding allergies. Let us know if what you think about the taste.

We are having teriyaki chicken in the slow cooker with sides of veggie stir fry and noodles.
