So, of course, the Town of Cary field where DH's game was scheduled got the huge thunderstorm and was cancelled. He is being a sweetheart and making me breakfast for dinner so I could get some work done. After dinner, it is time for me to organize and finish clipping my coupons for tomorrow.

Ascherer, I'm more than a bit envious of your easy week of cooking or not cooking as the case may be! ;) I agree -- it's awesome to see everyone back here again both old and new.

RFB enjoy your visit with your brother!

Raesmom, your PB cookies sound awesome and I just happen to have a recipe lying around for them that I've been wanting to try.

Tonight we're having baby back ribs in the oven, rice, broccoli.

Raesmom, my hubby works out of town for two weeks at a time and then home for two weeks. It's really a nice set up huh? Fortunately, he loves to cook and he does most of the cooking when he's home.

Faye- I have not, but I really want to. It's a super long trip from here, but hope to in the next year. I've heard it's beautiful, too!

RFB - British Columbia is so beautiful. I spent a couple weeks camping there a few decades ago. And Victoria was especially lovely with the ocean views. Have you been to visit?

I will have to try the wontons with pineapple. Thanks!

Raesmom - good for you!! Good luck with the trainer.

cdavismk1 - Attempt # 2 at dinner sounds great tonight! :-) That happens to me more than I care to admit. Planned dinners get moved to other nights all the time at my when life gets in the way of my schedule.

Faye- he's in Victoria. And thanks! The sweet wontons are really good... especially with all the great deals on pineapple in the last few months.

    CDAVISMK1- thank you :-)

Last night ended up being tacos since there was no rain and tonight will be leftover tacos since I have to meet up with a personal trainer after work (yes im still TRYING to lose weight lol). Depending on how sore I am afterwards I will try to make peanut butter cookies with Rae......gotta keep that kid occupied or she will drive me up a wall :)

everyones dinners sound yum (especially yours Faye, im a pasta freak!!) RFB enjoy your brother......if the weather where he is from in Canada is anything like sure he may never want to go back ;)

cdavismk1~I sometimes wish I was the only one I had to feed........can you say chips and pasta hahahahaha

RFB...that all sounds awesome!! No grilled chicken or asparagus for me last night, as I ran into lots of "duties" to be taken care of. I'm going to try again tonight. Thank goodness I'm the only one I have to feed! ;)

Spaghetti (requested by my oldest daughter), garlic bread and salad on the menu tonight.

RFB - have fun with your brother! In what part of Canada does he live? And your dinner sounds suberb! I have not made dessert wontons before, but it's a great idea. We usually make crab and cream cheese wontons. Yum!

Ascherer - I am thinking of making some corn bread as well this week. Maybe I'll make some veggie soup to go with it when it get cooler later this week. Thanks for the idea. :-)

Ascherer- I'm loving that bread deal too!

And tonight I'm making some fun stuff since my brother is visiting from Canada! I haven't seen him in YEARS, and I'm so excited. I'm going to do a pasta dish with chicken, bacon, leeks, spinach and tortellini with a lemon cream cheese sauce. And then for dessert (since I'll have leftover cream cheese) I'm going to fry up some wonton wrappers filled with cream cheese, pineapple and honey, then topped with powdered sugar. Delicious :-) Oh, and I think I'll use the wine e-vic special I got this week from HT... nice to use for company!
