raesmom-deer meat is good if cooked the right way. It is more gamey tasting, but can be quite tasty! We like the loin wrapped in turkey bacon and grilled. I'm not crazy about it in stew since it still tastes gamey that way, but in tacos, spaghetti, etc it's good.
    RFB-hoping you feel better!!!
jdouglas-shrimp fried rice??? count me in!
Tonight we had chicken breast marinated in soy sauce, peanut butter, and seasonings and grilled on the foreman (Mr. Nichols was putting up the outside lights). We had vegetable stirfry with bok choy, broccoli, carrots, edamame, bamboo shoots, peppers, onions, ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and a sriracha sauce along with Jasmine rice. All things kept on hand and quick and easy.

    Thank you Faye and Jdouglas!

RFB, hope you are feeling better soon. Chocolate chip cookies make everything better, and make a fine meal as well. :)

Raesmom, deer meat, huh? I'll have spaghetti please.

Faye, enjoy your Chanukah dinner! Sounds delicious.

Last night ended up being spaghetti carbonara with bacon and broccoli in it with some delicious noodle kugel aned brownies for dessert. DW had a Dr. appointment today in Apex, so we stopped at Whole Foods in Cary and sprung for a Bell & Evans chicken, as well as the ingredients I didn't have for the shrimp fried rice. So, tonight will be roasted chicken, baked sweet potatoes, and possibly salad with oranges and pomegranate that we didn't have the other night.

Tomorrow, the plan is for the shrimp fried rice.

    Happy Tuesday everyone.

We're going super easy tonight... I've been sick for 2 days, and my DH is having a bad work day :-( Just made some chocolate chip cookies (to help cheer us up)... and that might just be it! Well, no, I'll probably roast up the BOGO pork tenderloin that I got at HT and something easy on the side.

    Faye- your menu sounds amazing!

Raesmom- can't wait to hear if you like it.

We are having brisket in the slow cooker with lots of onions and mushrooms, latkes, noodle kugel, veggie tray and hummus and jelly doughnuts for dessert (traditional Chanukah dessert). :-)

twoboysandadog - your burritos sound great!

Raesmom - let us know what you think of the deer.

DH put some deer meat in the crock pot yesterday afternoon (stew meat I guess) with some onions, peppers, potatoes carrots and peas and some seasonings. I guess that will be dinner served with white rice......although I do have a pack of ground beef in the fridge in case Rae and I dont like it (im not that adventurous lol) we can have old faithful Spaghetti :)
