Had oven roasted chicken (from freezer - previous sale), baked potatoes and french style green beans.

Faye you can cook london broil frozen in the crock pot. It will thaw in there and cook. I never thaw it out. Best if you start it early and cook all day. Start on high and after few hours turn to low. But if you don't start it till noon cook on high all afternoon.

Thank you to everyone for the chicken pasta suggestions from yesterday! We'll see what I come up with for tomorrrow.

Tonight is chicken fajitas with chicken already cooked this weekend, onions and peppers from our garden which is still producing :) , and tortillas that were given to us. We'll probably have rice and beans to go with it.

jdouglas13 - that $80 trip to the store sounds like it was painful! And I know you have tried to teach them your awesome frugal living and couponing skills to no avail. On a positive note, at least someone else made you dinner last night! :-)

All your menus sound so good! Last night my sister made a pasta concoction with broccoli and Italian sausage. Not sure what we're having tonight, but I sure wouldn't mind a burger.

On a side note, for those of us who sometimes get tired of couponing and sale-hunting, I wanted to post this for inspiration to keep going. Yesterday I was sent grocery shopping with a list made by Dad and sister for "essentials" that they needed right away. Turned out to be mostly stuff I wouldn't waste my money on, almost none of it was on sale, no coupons, and the total was almost $80. I couldn't even have made a meal out of what I bought. Wow!

Change of plans - London Broil not thawed yet so I am making that tomorrow and chicken sandwiches tonight, which I would rather have tonight anyway. lol

mbwatson - that spaghetti frittata sounds really good. Great way to use leftover noodles.

I am making a spaghetti frittata using leftover spaghetti noodles (free from HT), turkey bacon from Walgreen's (cheap), onion, mushrooms and cheese.

bjmholmes3 - I love shi take mushrooms as well. I'll have to try them using your suggestion. Thank you! And LOL that we cannot post the correct spelling of the mushroom without putting a space between the i and the t.

My favorite mushroom is the shi take sautéed with a pat of butter and a squeeze of lemon juice!

Tonight we are having BBQ beef in slow cooker (using London Broil on sale at Food Lion through 11/4 for $3.50/lb), rolls, cole slaw, steamed broccoli

bjmholmes3 - great menu for the week. Your chuck roast with wine sounds wonderful - especially the mushroom part....cause you can never have too many mushrooms. :-)

Bjholmes- all those meals sound great!
Tonight we are having grilled chicken breast marinated in soya (soy) sauce, minced fresh garlic, and peanut butter. We will have parsley potatoes, roasted cauliflower, fried zucchini and, steamed broccoli.
