nakabi - I am so glad you have friends to help take care of you now that you are on bedrest. You are almost there! And your dinner from the church ladies sounds lovely!

Being on bedrest does have its perks lol...ladiea from church have been bringing us meals which is so sweet of them. Tonight we had pork chops, green beans, mashed potatoes and fried zucchini (none for me because of the carbs). I had steamed broccoli with the chops and beans. Dessert was turtle bars which my DH and kids loved (I dont eat sweets so thankfully not being able to eat sugar isnt an issue for me lol)

Change of dinner plans! The HT list had me fully absorbed so I made a quick and easy Bird's Eye Voile sweet & sour chicken with honey wheat French bread instead. I really like this variety of Voila. It has lots of red peppers, pineapple and carrots in it and only 230 calories and 1.5 grams of fat (vs the other varieties that are loaded with fat). We will have the baked creamy mushroom chicken later this week instead.

I love having a stocked freezer for times like this when I want to make a quick change!

Kathy - your soup sounds wonderful!

raesmom1612 - that is really funny since I know you have commented about not likign chicken before. I hope you like it!

raesmom1612 - BBQ chicken in slow cooker (super easy) recipe: I usually slice an onion and put it on the bottom of the slow cooker. Then put the trimmed chicken breasts on top of the onions. Sprinkle garlic powder and pepper on to the chicken. Top with your fav BBQ sauce (I usually use about 1/3 - 1/2 bottle depending on the amt of chicken). Cook on low for about 5 - 7 hours depending on your slow cooker. Mine cooks fast so even on low they are fully cooked and at the right temp in about 5 hours. Take out chicken, pull it apart, put it back in the BBQ sauce. I like to serve it on rolls with slaw. Yum.

It's probably leftover baked spaghetti again tonight (had it last night as well). All of your dinner meals sound delicious!

Nothing too exciting for dinner tonight...Eggs were on sale at HT so we are doing "brinner" (breakfast for dinner). It's always a hit at our house, and it doesn't take long!
