jdouglas-got to love HT's CS!!! and I'll save you a lemon bar!
scoutmomof2-crab dip sounds yummy! I like to put a little curry in it along with the old bay :)

Happy New Year, everyone! Nakabi, your menu has me drooling as always. Lemon bars? Yum!

We don't make too much of a fuss about NY or NYE, tonight may be hamburgers with salad. If I remember to get the dough in the bread machine today, tomorrow may be sausage pizza with some sausage I got for next to nothing at HT with the $1 off fresh pork coupons expiring today. The guy in the butcher department very graciously, and with a smile on his face, wrapped them 2 to a package for me so I could use a coupon on each package.

Thanks for the great customer service HT!

I am not completely sure. I am going to do a Maryland Crab Dip for starters with toasted french bread. I might do some shrimp for the boys (I don't like them) and possibly either steak or ribs. Salad, baked potatoes, some other veggie (am thinking green beans but my oldest would want peas again).

We are celebrating New Year's Eve with friends and will be having an assortment of appetizers and desserts. I am making buffalo chicken dip and a couple desserts.

Nakabi - your dinner sounds lovely!

angel2000-in response to your question from yesterday. I use my slow cooker most often when I'm not going to be home. I've never had a problem with it. If you are concerned that your food will burn, I'd suggest cooking it on low.

In honour of NYE, we will be having steamed shrimp (with lots of old bay seasoning of course!), asparagus, grilled yellow/green squash and onions, au gratin potatoes (tryig to use up the last of the potatoes before they go bad), green bean w/walnuts, Caesar salad, and croissants. Lemon bars & peanut butter pie for dessert if I can find time to make them! (got lemons for .5 each at Aldi a few weeks ago and want to use them up before they go bad)
