    I wish I had remembered to go to Fresh Market today. What a great deal on all pork BOGO! I'm hoping today isn't the last day for the WF sale on Bell & Evans. I had some of that chicken when I was at my folks a couple of weeks ago, and it was so good. It tasted like the chicken we used to get from the old-timey butcher shop with sawdust on the floor when I was a kid. Yum.

    Spaghetti pie and garlic bread. I'm certain the pasta and sauce were free or almost free at Harris Teeter. The ground beef and French bread to make garlic bread are both on sale there this week. It was yummy!

    jdouglas13- that's a great idea on the vinegar... adding a bit now (still marinating!) And I'm really happy w/the Tuesday deals at Fresh Market... today was all pork BOGO plus split bone in chicken breasts BOGO. I'll need to check out Whole Foods.. I've been trying to buy better meat/poultry lately (on sale only)- tastes better, and I just feel better about eating it. And funny on the cleaver :-)

    I knew I was forgetting something when I was at HT earlier -- asparagus. Sigh. Not sure I feel like going out again just for that.

    I was in North Raleigh a while ago this afternoon, and went into the Whole Foods there just to look around. Turns out they had Bell & Evans fresh chickens for $1.99/lb, regularly $2.79 I think. Not the $0.59 or $0.79/lb HT sale, but these chickens are sooooo good. OK for a once in a while little splurge. We'll get two meals out of it for $8 total. Sides to be determined.

    RFB, last year I got some of those pork chops from Fresh Market, but asked them to leave them bone-in and as a 4 rib roast. Delicious!! Next time, I'll remember to have them remove the chine bone. Everyone here went running when I brought out the meat cleaver LOL. Your marinade sounds yummy. I wouldn't have thought to put rosemary with teriyaki, but it sounds really good!I think it might be better with broth rather than wine. Maybe a bit of rice wine vinegar instead? JMHO, of course :)

    nakabi - creamed asparagus sounds wonderful! I will have to try that. My kids and hubby love it roasted with EVOO and a bit of salt. I also love it in stir fry.

    And your potato soup sounds great!

    I am thinking chicken and black bean soup as I need to use up more of the shredded chicken I cooked over the weekend.

    Faye-that's a good problem to have!!!! I love asparagus! Do you ever have it creamed? (like you would with spinach?) it's one my husband's favourites.

    Spaghetti and salad. We purchased homemade spaghetti sauce from the local Mom & Pop produce stand.

    New recipe from my Taste of Home Magazine- Pork Chops (got them BOGO from Fresh Market today) marinated in teriyaki, chicken broth (suppose to be white wine, but didn't have any), brown sugar and fresh rosemary. Then baked. Roasted asparagus on the side from HT sale.
