Strawberries

Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like. If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas for what to make with all the great deals you have bought on sale recently.

I'm thinking enchilida casserole. Ground turkey on closeout at Walmart a while back, cheese from previous HT b2g3 sale, tortilla shells from 10 for 10 sale at HT, black beans, salsa, sour cream, and the rest of the taco fixings to top it with.

Target has their frozen turkey breast on sale for .99/lb. That's all our family eats and about the best price we can ever find.

Left overs at our house, Faye have you heard of any sales on turkeys yet?

Chicken at our house as well. BBQ chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Will be shredding them and serving on hamburger buns. Some veggie will be served on the side-probably broccoli as it needs to be used soon.

We are having Ribs, mac n' cheese and French cut green beans and corn bead. Maybe some yams (first time cooking LOL). And to top it off with some ice cream

Let's hear it for chicken night on the blog! Thanks for posting everyone. :-)

meredith88 - your chicken sounds very good. O have a whole chicken in the freezer I really need to use. That same dish may be on the b=menu next week.

jdouglas - enjoy the jasmine rice! lol

We are also having chicken that I cooked in the crockpot last night. I cooked a whole chicken with a spice rub and some potatoes, onions, carrots, peppers, and zucchini. Tonight we'll just have the chicken, veggiess and rice and the rest of the week we'll repurpose the chicken into other recipes :)

Raesmom1612 - your salsa chicken sounds great and Faye, I love chicken tacos! YUM!!!!

I read a recipe for chicken francese that calls for subbing bisquick for the flour that sounded interesting, and if i can make it out to the store, I think I'll try it. Sides are jasmine rice (no, I did not spring for that!) and some broccoli that I need to seriously disguise somehow.
