Italian night rules! - except at chipper4800 and justinsmommu's houses - sorry you didn't get the memo. :-)

Now that is a lot of ground beef, jdouglas (insert shudder here).

  • justinsmommu Jul 30, 2013

Pork tenderlion ($3 at last HT super dubs) sauteed with onions and gray over rice (cheap at HT awhile back), with broccoli or green beans.

Chipper, I've never heard of bacon wrapped corn, but it sounds amazing! Do you make it on the grill or in the oven? Details please! :)

OK Faye, stop reading here. ;) I bought a 5.5 lb package of ground chuck for about $11 net yesterday at FL. The coupon machine spit out a $2 coupon off beef and it was already on sale, so I was a happy girl.

Tonight we are probably going to be in the pasta camp as well. I'm thinking baked ziti with and meatballs. I have some ricotta and mozzarella I need to use up leftover from pizza last week.

Hate to break the trend but we are having sloppy joes, bacon wrapped corn on the cob and pasta salad.

Sounds like it's Italian night everywhere. YUM!

haha pasta with homemade meatballs for us :)

Pizza made with .99 whole wheat dough ball from HT. Topped with some grilled chicken ($1.99/lb, using about 1/2 lb.), blue cheese, cheap shredded mozzarella from somewhere, a peach, and some balsamic glaze. Wierd combination I know, but hopefully it will work. There's plenty of free and/or cheap ice cream in the freezer if the pizza is a fail!

wildfrenchrose - it's pasta night here as well! We are having:

Celantano light cheese ravioli (BOGO recently at HT) with marinara sauce

    Garlic bread

Spaghetti (Dreamfields $0.69 at last HT sd), meat sauce (Bertolli's with a LOT of doctoring and I think was around $0.80/90 at last HT sd) meat was $1.88/lb at CC's. Garlic bread--ht French bread, butter, garlic salt.
