What's for dinner this weekend?

Posted May 11, 2013

Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like. If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas!

What's on your menu tonight?

On Saturday night, we are taking my mother-in-law out to dinner at her favorite restaurant, Ruby Tuesday. I have already printed out a coupon from their website ($5 off 2 meals when you join their newsletter club) and I have a $50 gift card we received as a gift to put towards the meal for the 5 of us.  We will be eating dessert at our house.

On Mother's Day, I have no idea what they have planned for dinner! We shall see......

I am cooking supper for my mom and whole family tonight so she can have the night off. We are having steaks from the reduced meat section at Food Lion with loaded baked potatoes. The potatoes are on sale at FL right now, a 5lb bag for $1.50. We are also having Caesar salad and fruit salad.

Breakfast for dinner, I think -- afer all, it's only almost 7 pm, we have time to decide! ;)

Over easy fried egg and bacon sandwiches on english muffins. All sale things, with the bacon and englsh muffins from the freezer.

Tomorrow I think we are finally going to have the ham I bought around Easter before it expires, along with some type of baked pineapple from the Kroger $0.99 sale a week ago. Most of the ham will end up portioned and put in the freezer for a ingredient in future meals.

The mexican beef stew was what I came across first last night in the freezer, so tonight we'll be having the BBQ beef over a baked potato. The potatoes came from the reduced produce rack at HT where I paid .85 cents for 4 large baking potatoes that looked beautiful.
