    Nanny, I just got a bunch of canned green beans (store brand) at FL the other day. Their kiosk spit out a coupon for $1 off 4, and they were already on sale, so they netted out to $0.42/can! Thought that info might help if it's an item you use frequently. Maybe if you buy one can and then scan your card at the kiosk, it might "help" it to print the coupon for you too.

    Leftovers from grilling last night with friends. Barbecue chicken, hotdogs, and hamburgers. Baked beans, deviled eggs and potato salad.

    It's pork loin for us that I got at LF on a sale recently along with Alexia Sweet Potato fries, again on sale at HT plus some canned green beans.

    Fish tacos, re-fried beans, rice, margaritas ... a day late on Cinco de Mayo because the kids were making an offer on a house and not home.

    We are eating Cinco de Mayo leftovers. I made the YUMMIEST Buffalo Chicken Crack enchiladas yesterday (cross between buffalo chicken dip and enchiladas - two of our favorite things). Wholly salsa was free at one point in time and I froze it since I use it for cooking a lot. It turned out great! I used cheese from the B2G3 HT. I had flour tortillas that I got during a weekend EVIC special. Chicken from the freezer that I bought at some point for $1.99/lb. Cream Cheese from Aldi. Green Onions from Kroger. Blue Cheese and Ranch dressing during Newman's Own sale/triples. It was delicious! I also made brown rice and mixed in fresh green onions and a jar of Newman's Own black bean and corn salsa for "Mexican Rice." We had friends over yesterday for lunch. We ate the enchiladas for lunch yesterday, dinner yesterday, and dinner again tonight. We also sent our friends home with leftovers.

    jcook, avocados start to turn from green to a deep green, almost blackish when they are ripe, and give a bit when squeezed -- gently please! :) The riper they are, the softer they become. There is a point when they are no longer any good.

    I just discovered a package of stew beef with gravy, already cooked, in the freezer yesterday. We are going to have that supplemented with some carrots, mushrooms, green beans, and gnocchi. Easy! Yay! In fact, so easy, maybe I'll even make some biscuits. My DW will be in heaven :)

    Veggie and cheese quesadillas with sautéed green peppers, onions and mushrooms.

    Homemade guacamole using .50 avocados from Food Lion through Tuesday. For the guacamole, I just mash 2 ripe avocados, add a spoonful of light sour cream to make it even creamier, 1 clove chopped garlic and some chopped tomatoes.

    Yum on the beef stew, quiche and the tomato bisque!

    OOOOMMMMMMGGGG NAKABI!!!! I am ssssoooo coming to get my tomato basil bisque while my beef stew is in the crockpot :)
