We had Faye's pasta primavera for dinner. It was a hit with all of us! I can count the number of recipes on my hands that my kids all like. So happy to have another "keeper"!

JustMe83: I agree with you. I do not like being wasteful and we eat leftovers too. I try to cook just what amount we will eat each day.

I guess I'm not the norm. I very rarely eat leftovers. Growing up without electricity or indoor plumbing forced us to cook fresh food everyday since we didn't have refrigeration so that's the mentality I grew up with. My husband will eat leftover if they are there, although that's not often. We have different friends stop by just about every evening and of course we feed them. (It's considered very rude to not feed someone when they come visit. And it's considered even more rude for you to not eat the food offered.) Even with my husband being American he has adopted that custom lol.

jdouglas-dessert will be at 9:30 since we generally eat supper at 8:30

Oops, missed the ice cream topping, Nakabi. That sounds even better!

Nakabi, dessert at 7:30? Love baked apples! Don't forget the heavy cream on top. Yum :)

We're having leftovers too. We have a bit of the pork piccata leftover, which was really good, and I'm making a little pasta alfredo with some roasted yellow squash, zucchini, asparagus, and carrots. DW can have the pork since she's not a veg fan, although she will gladly eat the tips off the asparagus ;)

JustMe, I like your new leftover rule too. I really hate wasting food. With the exception of a few things that don't keep well, my feeling is if it was good the first time around, it will be good the second time too.

Stuffed bell peppers for the hubby and probably breakfast for dinner for me. I can't wait until I can eat tomatoes again!

We live off of leftovers in our house! I can't imagine not eating them. Actually, when I am at the top of my game I try to do almost all my cooking on Sunday and we just eat leftovers all week.

Good rule JustMe! We are all about leftovers. I repurpose them into others meals all the time.

Not sure yet what we are having for dinner, but I am not cooking!
