odd-only part on post made it to the page-that bertolli was at a previous HT sale- we're also having ceasar salad (romaine & croutons from Aldi's, cheese B2G3 HT and Ken's light dressing from stockpile) I thought about buying the BOGO bread at Lowes this morning but resisted

That recipe looks interesting, Erin. I have never tried Chayote before.

I think we are having deli smoked turkey sandwiches using the B2G3 deli meat at HT and the cheese slices that were BOGO at HT a couple weeks ago. Sub rolls are BOGO at Lowes Foods. We are also having fresh corn on the cob and cantaloupe.

Quinoa stuffed chayotes. The chayotes were $1.99/lb at Harris Teeter. Those suckers have some weight to them. 4 medium sized chayotes were $4.34. Serving with green beans.

Pizza! HT pizza ball bought for $1.00 a few weeks ago. Red onions from aldi's, green peppers from aldi's, some crumbled turkey sausage from HT (free) and cheese from HT B2G3. Some cheap pizza sauce....can't wait!

jdouglas13, if the turkey has been eating a lot of onions, they are not usually good. But we do marinate in Italian dressing to get rid of the wild taste.

sewhunt, that is such a funny coincidence that you mention wild turkeys. There is a tribe of them that visit our back yard up here daily. I keep thinking "Free turkey dinner! Quick, catch them!" Of course, I have no idea what we'd do once we did actually catch one, since we are not gun people, and I'm not swinging any axe!! LOL ;)
