barbiedoll1967 - that sounds like a looooong day!

    jdouglas13 - ahhhhhhh....baked ziti.

The homemade crab rangoon were delicious. Everyone loved them! I used imitation crab, cream cheese, garlic powder, parsley and pepper. Put a dab in 1/2 an egg roll wrapper cut into a triangle, sealed it with a touch of water along the edges and fried in veggie oil for about 30 seconds on each side. So yummy. Here's a basic recipe I used as a guide, although I did not use the egg or the A-1 sauce:

I spent all day taking down Christmas lights so I had a microwave dinner and my hubby ate Burger King. I still have to take down the roof lights!

Raesmom - that smoothie sounds very very very very healthy. Good for you!

luvstoQ - my husband would probably be very happy if I cooked a traditional New Year's meal like yours. I hope your good luck foods work all year long! :-)

Happy New Year, everyone! Today we grilled a tri-tip for an early dinner, and alternated various yummy food all day... with napping! A perfect day :-)

Had our traditional dinner (for lunch this year) of collards, black eyed peas, cornbread, baked potatoes, cranberry gelatin salad, plus hubby grilled a seasoned pork tenderloin and cherry pie for dessert.

I changed up dinner for tonight based on a request from the kids. They wanted me to make Crab Rangoon so we are having the Rangoon, crab cakes, baked sweet potatoes and green beans.

And nothing wrong with spaghetti, jdouglas! And YES to brownie sundae! :-)

observant - your ham was a great deal!

We are doing spaghetti as well since DH has to go back to work tonight !
I made sauce over the weekend to have for quick meals , I will cook fresh noodles and toss a salad - maybe even splurge and do cheese bread (!) . Only easy items I have for dessert right now are fresh fruits ( oranges, bananas, apples and pineapple )
