We got chicken tenders from Publix for dinner tonight (so sad there is no Publix where we're moving!) Last night in Morrisville, so we went simple as we're living out of boxes and have been using paper plates/plastic utensils the last few days. We also won't have a Food Lion... now that makes me even sadder :(

It's been such a pleasure being part of this blog the last few years, and just wanted to thank everyone for all the great menu ideas, fun talks and tips! And of course Faye for helping me learn how to shop smarter and save. Not only has this blog been fun, but it's truly been a blessing in helping me think differently about money, learn how to save, what to spend money on... and so on. Much love everyone, and on to the next adventure. ~RaleighFoodBlogger xoxo :)

ybaverage2003 - your grilled asparagus sounds great! I picked up asparagus at Kroger this afternoon and now I want it grilled as well.

Kathy S. - I taught a meal planning class this afternoon for a lunch and learn at a company and I used the term "Gourmet Buffet." They thought it was very funny.

jdouglas13 - YAY for baked ziti!

    Thanks for sharing everyone!

Kids had hotdogs, hubby is having shrimp sautéed in butter with roasted red potatoes and onions in a butter and chive sauce, and Cheddar biscuits. I am not sure what I'm having... maybe a Fried egg and sausage biscuit.

Boneless pork chops, baked sweet potatoes, and green beans.

Gourmet buffet - we have salsa chicken, small amount of roast beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad.

    Both menus sound good!

What was supposed to be pizza last night turned into... wait for it... BAKED ZITI! ;)

It's nice out today, I'm tempted to do something on the grill. Maybe grilled marinated chicken breasts and asparagus? I need to do a little freezer diving to see what looks good LOL.
