    RaleighFoodBlogger - welcome back!!

Thanks for posting the slow cooker links everyone!

Lindabates- we've done this recipe twice in the last 3 weeks, and it's delicious! Especially good with rice and corn on the side (we don't do the cabbage). She has a lot of really great recipes on this site

LINDABATES, here's a link to my favorite slow cooker chicken recipe, found years ago in All You magazine: recipe is very versatile, so you can easily modify it according to your family's preferences. Our tweaks: use a fruit-flavored medium salsa, use only 1 Tbsp chili powder, and skip the garlic. We don't usually bother with shredding the chicken or using tortillas, and instead just serve over brown or cauliflower rice, and with other veggies.

Well the kids had mcdonalds, hubby and I are having baked pork chops and fried rice cause I was out of Spaghetti noodles!

Does anybody have any casserole or crockpot meals they'd share with me? I'm a teacher and dread cooking after working all day. Seems like I'm cooking repeat meals Ruth and I'd love new ideas.

Ok yall so I cook my Chicken in the crockpot with some butter and garlic then when I get home I cook and drain the noodles while the noodles are cooking I put the chicken on a pan top with SpaghettI sauce and Mozzarella cheese and broil until the cheese melts then serve over the noodles... it's not breaded since the would be mushy at end of cook time breading but it's a quick meal after a long day.

Jdouglas- thank you! :) And I do like lima beans! Just googled fordhook, as I'm still a lima bean newbie. I think that was the variety they gave me in the box... but of course... it's Martha's box :) Even my DH loved them in the mix (and still shocked he ate the "slimy" okra lol!)

I would love the recipe too Lindabates for the chicken parmesan. It sounds great. I don't use my crockpot alot since I'm gone for almost 12 hours a day and I'm afraid to leave it on for that length of time.

Lindabates- do you have a recipe for that? I love anything made in the crockpot... so much easier!

Raesmom, I haven't tried the lemon pie yet. When DW and I were at her doctor's appointment yesterday, I hopped on the scale (since I don't own one) and was pretty bummed to see my weight was at an all-time high. :( I really don't need lemon pie. Thanks for letting me know you thought it was too sweet.

OTOH, I may join you at Faye's for pizza night! ;)

Meredith -- Halloween for the w/d? Yikes.

Welcome back RFB! Do you actually like lima beans? I thought I was the only one. Fordhook for me please. :)

Lindabates, chicken parm in the slow cooker is genius.

Dinner tonight. Hmmm. Last night was spaghetti with meat sauce. DW didn't even mind all the hidden veg. Tonight might be leftovers, maybe over ravioli. Or not. ;)
