Thank you Faye and JDouglas! It'll be a learning experience but I'm looking forward to it :-)

True, you can look forward to collecting lots of rainchecks from that store. Definitely try to avoid it between 4 and 7 p.m. on weekends! Same with the CVS in the same shopping center. There is a Lowes Foods on 70 near another CVS, and a pretty nice Food Lion on Pritchard off Covered Bridge Road. Don't hesitate to ask if we can help you find things out here. :)

meredith88 - you are in for quite an experience. That HT is cleaned out quickly every week and is jam packed during promos. Good luck! On a lighter note - welcome to JoCo!

JDouglas, yes, that's the one we went to. Seemed to be a popular hangout at 10pm! I've lived in Wake County my entire life and am very used to having 2 or more of each grocery store within 10 minutes of my house so this will be an adjustment for me :-)

Faye, I'm drooling over your menu, especially the garden veg. So far, all I've gotten from my garden is 5 measly cherry tomatoes and a boatload of basil.

Ilivefancy, glad you're doing better. A few of us here can relate to a sore back. Owie!

Meredith, did you go to the Clayton/Flowers HT? If so, you're a neighbor. Welcome! :)

Well, dinner last night ended up totally different than the plan. Big surprise. Not. We were both cold and wanted a hot meal, so I heated up the leftover gravy and chicken, and served it with gnocchi and roasted asparagus with lemon/garlic pepper. My plan for the pasta and tomato dish I mentioned yesterday may be revamped with cooked shrimp instead, and might be what's for dinner tonight.

Spiral ham - not sure the sides yet. Probably mashed potatoes and green beans.

Thanks Faye and Ascherer! In a couple weeks I'm sure it'll feel like home :-)

Now I'm having to learn a new town and find my new grocery stores. I may be turning to all you JoCo people for advice. We did venture out Tuesday night to the Harris Teeter so I know where it is but otherwise I have no clue where I'll be shopping now....

I lied, the rib special has ended.. :(

No idea what I'll have now.

ILiveFancy - I'm glad you are feeling better.

Meredith - Congrats on finally being in the new house. It will be a home soon.

Thanks everyone, I am feeling better :) I'm not sure what happened, but somehow, I pulled a muscle in my back. I've never felt any pain like that before.

Tonight, I'm thinking TGIF for the $10 ribs .. I didn't know this, but you can also get the Bourbon Barrel Mahi Mahi and the Bourbon Barrel Chicken for $10 as well.
