TheRealNCYankee - LOL! That's nice that you can get the meal for 1/2 price.

meredith88- I hope you are feeling a little better this evening and can enjoy some dinner.

jdouglas13 - you know I would love that shrimp recipe with EVOO and butter! Yum!

A late-night half-price meal from the restaurant where I work my part-time second job. The struggle is real.

On my own for supper tonight and still not completely over this stomach bug so I'm not sure what supper will be. If I feel like eating I might just heat up a Lean Cuisine that I keep in the freezer for emergencies. If not then I'll be drinking more Gatorade and chicken broth :-/

As usual I forgot to post the dinner menu. :p Probably because I don't have it figured out yet, so I'll post a meal we had a couple of nights ago that was really yummy and took less than 20 minutes start to finish. I put a pot of rice on to cook. In a saute pan, I sautéed a pound of P/D Argentine shrimp that were on sale recently in a little EVOO and a bit of butter. My shrimp were still frozen. You don't have to defrost them. Just rinse them under cold water. When almost done, I added lots of garlic, and asparagus cut into thirds. Cook another 2 minutes, swirl in another little pat of butter, and turn off the heat. Mix in the zest and juice of 2 small lemons. Mix the shrimp and rice mixture together and serve with a little parm on top.

Stasan, are you a fellow foodie? That vinegar sounds divine. There are some flavored vinegars that are so good. You can make a wonderful, super easy salad dressing with them that don't even need any oil. One of my faves is pomegranate. They can be a little pricey, but you just use a couple of tablespoons at a time, so overall not so bad.

I'm seriously thinking about heading to HT for the rotisserie chicken deal today as well.

Last night I roasted a package of pork tenderloins (one for leftovers) and served it with baked potato and fresh green beans. The Princess got DW's green beans.
