Raesmom, so sorry Baby Ziti is sick! :( I wish I had known -- I would have brought y'all something.

Enjoy your TIGT tonight. I hope everyone is asleep so you get a little break. I was even going to suggest a glass of wine. Is there any way to temporarily dump that restriction?? ;)

I'm totally jealous of ybaverage and coupon4me!! I need a night off :)

Poor baby ziti caught whatever Rae had last week (some form of a mild flu per the doctor) so it's been hard for me to do much cooking around here as baby ziti is super needy right now. Rae and I had canned spaghetti last night and since it's TGIT tonight I may pop a frozen pizza in the oven to go with my version of wine......an ice cold glass of coke (i only get it once a week during Scandal, since no wine is allowed :( for now......)

    How far is Friday?????

    coupon4me & ybaverage2003 - enjoy the night off!

Jdouglas - you know I LOVE that mushrooms price at HT - .77 per 8 oz.!

Kids have an outing tonight....think it will include pizza. So my kitchen is closed!

Jdouglas - You always make me laugh. Remember you have a blender. Tell DW to take a nice long hot bath. While she is doing that you can blend up some veggies then add the to the sausage, mushroom, and cheese scramble. Just put some chunks of asparagus in the scramble and blame the color on them. If needed add more cheese. Cheese, especially cream cheese, can hide a lot of things.

Ascherer, your dinner last night sounds so good I might steal your idea for tonight! I have quite a lot of asparagus, and the 8 oz container of mushrooms is some ridiculously low price at HT this week. I don't have any ham, but I have breakfast sausage I can serve on the side. I also defrosted the last of my rye bread which makes wonderful toast.

Plan B is to make the corn chowder with the leftover turkey. It's a great way to sneak in some broccoli and other green mystery things. LOL.

    YBAverage, enjoy your dinner out!

Tonight we are having the crustless quiche using the recipe below. I'm changing the veggie ingredients, as I posted in the meal section yesterday. Sides include fruit and muffins.

Out to dinner with a friend tonight, so no cooking for me !

My DH got home last night and made us scrabbles instead of omelets. It had ham, onion, asparagus, tomato, mushrooms, cheese and eggs. I had mine with a toasted English muffin but he was good and didn't. Tonight I want to try to make a crustless quiche with the same ingredients from last night. DH has softball practice so I should be able to take my time and do it right.

Faye - It is nice to hear you are taking an interest in food and shopping again. You must be feeling better.
